Diamond Head from Sagarmatha (Smoke Report)

Strain: Diamond Head
Breeder: Sagarmatha

Appearence- Light green buds with a hint of dark green coloration. Some buds have alittle purple on the calyxs. Buds also have a decent coverage of crystals and bright orange hairs. From far away buds almost look orange from the hairs. Bag appeal is decent too. Nice looking buds overall.

Smell- Buds have a very sweet smell to them, almost a fruity hint but I can't really explain excatly what they smell like. Pungnent fruit I should say.

Taste- The taste is pretty good but not all that. The taste is also a sweet pungnent fruity taste but being exact is hard to tell.

Potency/Smoke- Potency is medium. Not too strong but not weak either. A nice fat joint will get you pretty high. I can take a few hits from a bowl and be high for awhile. The smoke is very thick and white. I grew her in 100% organics so she is extra sweet. When DH is lit up the smell is known, a nice danky smell hits the room and lingers for awhile.

High Effects- The buzz is a calm and mellow, not too intense. It has more of an uppy high to it. I can still function and do stuff while I'm high off it. I think the high caters to what kind of mood your in. If you want to relax then you can relax, if you want to do do something then you can. The only downfall about this bud is that it gives you really bad cotton mouth. I tell people when I'm smoking with them to have some water handy because it will dry your mouth out bad. It also gives you the munchies pretty bad too but I have no problem with that. It's also is good for a movie, music, or doing something creative.

This bud was for free so I can't really complain. It's a nice smoke but it's not the best. If it wasn't for the cotton mouth I would like this strain alittle more. If you want some nice fruity tasting buds with a mellow high then Diamond Head is pretty good. Not to mention it has very low odor and finishes early.

i like strains that are adaptable to particular environments. i hate getting super stoned on something i like when i'm alone, then going out into public and feeling anxious and awkward. this seems to fit the bill of good anywhere you go.

does it make you look cashed out, or did you feel like you could maintain pretty well?

the dry mouth makes me think no

I like this strain but the cotton mouth thing is killing it. Everytime I smoke it I find myself slamming glasses of water just to try to stop it. Everybody that has smoked it says that the cotton mouth is bad but overall it's a good smoke because of the mellow high.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but... isn't cotton mouth a direct result of high THC?

I've been looking for specifics on this girl, as I am about to crack 10 and see how they do. Most people seem to think it's couch-locky and potent as hell. I suppose mileage will vary depending upon phenotype.

If anybody else has any Diamond Head commentary or pictures, please post here. I'm going to do a grow diary of mine.

So, I ended up only getting two of my ten Diamond Head seeds to sprout. Not the best germ rate, but so it goes sometimes.

That was a couple weeks ago. I now have two very stout indica-dominant plants. One has a lot of purple tones, so maybe I'll get some purplish buds.

I will post a report and some pics as these flower. They are still unsexed at this point, hope I get a girl. There are very few reports on this one; anybody else have any Diamond Head pics or reports to share?
