I actually have a water distiller unit that I use for water. If I am not using that I use store bought distilled water or even regular bottled water. But since you have the RO unit, yeah I would use that.

that's what i'm thinking. my water which i make from RODI has pretty much nothing in it. is water like that too clean....?

Well I am not sure there is such thing as water that is too clean. If you have perfectly distilled water you can add in exactly the particles, nutrients, and micro nutes that you want and in exact proportions. Its kinda like painting. More often than not the painter wants a perfectly clean canvas to create the image he/she is looking to create. Well with water and Cannabis plants, every plant has its own needs depending on strain, set-up, and other environmental conditions. So as gardeners we must create the perfect water for our plants to thrive, I just do it from scratch.

too clean in the sense that most nutes will drop it's pH too much.
I just bleand so I don't have to pH up. The tap portion of the blend acts as the buffer and there is no need to pH up. You'll also get added ca and mg from the tap but a lot of other undesirable stuff also.

Stuff that comes out of the tap might have anything in it, and whatever's in it can change depending on what they find when they test at the water plant. If you have a RO unit, use it. Rainwater and distilled water are good too. Bottled water could be anything, those ultra pure names were dreamed up by an advertising guy; Mountain Pure Springs probably came out of a tap in New Jersey. At the least, if you are determined to use city tap water, let it sit for a few days to allow the fluoride, chlorine, and alum to break down some.

so basically i should use the RODI unit, just check PH before watering, and add PH up or down, if necessary. water to clean, like RODI cannot hurt plants...?
i have to check PH. i never have. when i add to fish tank, i add a daily PH/ALK/Ca additive to tank which maintains all 3 parameters...

Is this true... cause im just thinking about only using tap water. Im a plumber.... and ive heard letting water sit for a few can cause some bad stuff to form wich could be harmeful to humans. Im not sure how long it has to sit, for that to happen, though.

Should i clean out a 2L Pepsi bottle with bleach and then rinse the bottle out real good, then put more clean water in the bottle, with the CAP ON? or should i have the water out in the open, like in a bowl?

thanks

toss a small airstone in to keep the water moving and full of fresh air

I just got a 7 stage Ro unit that does 150gallans per day off of ebay.........I've already spent how much it was on all the distilled water I used to buy.
