doggone sick and I cant shake it

Im a fibro patient who's on a ton of Oxycontin for chronic pain.I have been having a weird reaction to getting cold.Here is an example.When I wake up early say 5am,I get out of bed usually a tad sweaty from being under the blankets.As soon as my body gets cold from being out from under blankets I start getting major nausea,which usually leads to a period of vomiting/dry heaves that I sweat and SNEEZE non-stop through.I fight this almost every day and was unable to eat any of the lovely xmas dinner I prepared for my family and my Mom and Dad.Prime Rib which is my fav.I almsot blew chow at the table.Im on 360mg of Oxys daily with 45 mg roxicodone for breakthrough.The puking pattern seems to be established between 5am and 10 am and then again at 3 to 5pm.My GP told me my testosterone was extremely low but due to some prostate issues cannot resume hormone therapy.I seem to be getting worse and wonder if this is Oxy only relatede.Anyone with a medical background help me out here by giving me some ideas? I know when i took heavy amounts of pills this is what happen to me. When i quit them, the throwing up in the morning stopped. Thats a shit load of oxy dude!!! holly crap. But im no doctor and can offer no medical advice. Only you and your doctors can do that.

A - Start getting up at 10-11 am, works for me.

B - Does it happen if you do not get cold? If not, then just keep dry clothes next to the bed and put them on and warm them up before you get out.

C - Will a glass of milk or piece of bread calm your tummy?

D - When you get the vomit inducing saliva, do not swallow it, spit it out.

E - Eat a spoon of ganja before bed.

Absolutely right, all your symptoms are related to your incredibly high dosage of Oxycontins.....your body has acclimated to 360mg of powerful opiate drugs, one of the side-effects of which is to regulate your hypothalamus (the temperature control center in your brain).....thus you will feel unbearably hot and cold chills, your skin will crawl, and of course you will have incredible nausea as well......

I would feel it is safe to say that you are opiate-dependent at this point......so, in the morning (your longest period without taking your meds), you will feel the "withdrawl symptoms" such as nausea, sneezing, itching, sweating, etc......however, when you take your oxycontin, once the oxycontin "kicks in," your temperature will go back to normal and the sneezing and itching and nausea should fade away......the nausea can be a problem, since taking your dosage of oxycontin could result in nausea as well as NOT taking your dosage (like in the case of your morning nausea)....

I don't really know about the testosterone issue, i am not sure about this issue.....

Just remember to never ever ever ever stop taking your oxycontin, because you will experience the most unbelievably painful withdrawl symptoms imaginable if for some reason you were unable to take your dosage of oxycontin......

I am gonna try and spell relief w..h..i..t..e...r..u..s...s..i..a..n! I have 4 white russians and one flodica 17 days away from the chopping block,give or take a couple of days as I like couchlock as I am a busy beaver.I plan on stripping most of the buds but leaving enough material to re-veg.I have had great sucsess in doing so.I mean there is no mistaking sex,lol!I need to glean some more info on opiate dependance.I've been on every opie there is.Started with Fentanyl patches,Avinza Slow release Morphine and now Oxycontins.I wish NY would hurry and pass its MMJ legislation so I can drop Oxys altogether and grow my pwn pain relief.Thanks to all who respond.Peace and good evening-BigD

good lord dude!!! if only for you, i would really wish NY would hurry up and pass it as well. sheesh!! those are too many opiates. those are the same symptoms i see alot of the patients i help go through , that are on one form or another of opiate based pain relief

Ive been battling oxy for many years due to my fractured spine. A lot of puking can be part of it sometime for me when I've been taking it everyday for months.



My general health and my activity levels are better when I lean more on Marijuana than the pills to cope with the ever present pain.

I had similar effects from oxy....i was switched to morphine The side effects are lots less. I just had a bad experience with oxy. Tell your internist or doctor and they may switch your meds to help you.

I have been on opiates everyday for the last 4 years.Like I said it all started with Fentanyl patches.I went up to a huge dose on those w/no pain relief and blowing chow.My pain Doc then put me on Avinza Morphine and the hurling continued.I was scripted and am scripted Marinol,40mg a day.Trouble is that it makes me paranoid and takes forever to work.After no relief from Avinza he put me on Oxycontin.I am getting little if any pain relief.Here is my dosing schedule.I take 2 80 mg Oxys at 6am and 2 80mg oxys plus one 40mg Oxy at 6pm to cover a long night.I also have IR roxicodone for breakthrough that I rarley if ever take.I also tried many different antiemetics such as Zofran,compazine and phenergan,pillls and suppositories-lol-nothing helps like good old maryjane.I got gutsy and clipped a bud off one of my girls today.All the pistils had shrunk up and the triches were 100% cloudy and nearly amber on day 47 of flower.I plan on trying to icefish this weekend.I have a heated shelter that I use whilest exposed to the elements.I am a retired licensed outdoor guide who had to give up guiding clients because of health issues.I must add that I suffer from IBS/Colitis and diabetes.I also have lost a ton of weight from 410lbs to my present weight of 237LBS what I weighed when I graduated in 1981-thanks guys and gals-Peace and One Love BigD senior member of treatingyourself.com

Avinza never worked for me just like taking nothing. Morphine without the time release was better, but and butt doctors do not write morphine without the time release very often.

bigdaddy9, how did the flodica turn out for you ?? did you get them re-veged ?? was the high/stone narcotic enough for your pain ??? i am interested how is the taste on the flodica ?? like temple ball hash/like flo ??? ever try endless sky ?? do you let them over-ripen ?? monkey5

The Flodica was excellent.Nice taste and it purpled up a the lower temps.I wish I would have vegged it longer.Its gonna make up the bulk of my summer outdoor grow.Peace BiGD
