Original Haze X Hash Plant test

The seeds were made by my friend using Original Haze male (Seedsman bought Amsterdam mid 90s) and Hash Plant female (Sensi 90s).
There is a smoke report on the OHaze here:

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=80945

About 100 of the seeds have been germed. 50 seedlings have gone to a growtent-and will go in a greenhouse before going outside. They will be included in this thread.
Two more batches of 10 have gone to a soil and hydro indoor growers-just to see how they get on with them.

I plan to grow a few indoors. After a poor start all but two of the bean sprouts made it

i've just potted these on today

so far so good

Damn, this is going to be a nice grow. Good luck EddieShoestring, always liked hash plant with the addition of the haze should make for some potent smoke.

autoflower?

autoflower?

A bit of early drama here-about 1/2 of the seedlings look as if they are starting to flower. They are 4-5inches high (120mm)@5th node and under 19/5H of MH and seem otherwise ok.
Wondering if the fast flowering trait associated with HPlant may be being expressed?
This may be a good thing as we planned to put a few outside in a while-but i'm wondering if there may be a problem taking cuts from the females?

odd

moving along.....

here are some females-they have all been pinched out a while ago-initially looks like 2 types-short and tall with the shorter ones showing flowering tendencies
oddly enough-the grower reorts that the other large batch have not shown any sign of sex yet-that is under 24h flouro.

Damn Eddie :yoinks: Now this is getting very interesting indeed!!!

Im planning + working sativadom outdoor variety suitable for Finnish weather.. How cool would it be having Hazedominant resinfactory maturing at these northern latitudes? :headbange

Maybe you wanna do some inbreeding with those AF´s, seems you have the needed female & male

I cannot wait to see how they end up

Muchos :respect: Eddie!!!

-very cool. I was thinking along the same lines when first seeing the early flowers-hopefully in time..........

-i hope to visit the growers who have been vegging and flowering the batches that went out, over the next couple of weeks (pics hopefully) and then we may be able to get a better idea what is going on with them.

Have also germed the last of the seeds given to me-around 25- in case it proves difficult to take cuts from the autoflowering plants

again-thanks for the kind words

if you snip off the male sacks as they appear and keep your nitrogen up, you shouldn't have a problem keeping them in veg long enough to take cuttings from. the key is cutting off the male flowers as they appear. should force the plant to stay in a vegetative state.

I must disagree with ^^previous^^ poster because I got quite opposite experiences...

Everytime I collect pollensacks for pollen, there comes to two instead the old one... So it has only increased sack production when talking about my experiences...

But why should you even try to keep af daddy? You can just collect the pollen from it and toss it after that :2cents:

i don't see why you couldn't clone them while they were flowering. i've seen successful clonings of plants that have begun to flower. just throwing around a few ideas as it seems he wanted to be able to clone the plants that had begun autoflowering. nothing more than my 2cents.

alright guys

perpetually-you can clone flowering plants normally-even upto 8weeks, i've taken them 1day before harvest before-but i think that i've heard autoflowing strain can be v diff to clone

i've never tried it-but imagine that simply removing the flowers on an auto-will not keep it in veg-so agree with Herbalistic on that one-

the plan is to try and grow a few males on their own somewhere-collect pollen and then cut down

thanks for inputs

cheers

Yeah, it´s all good Eddie!

I was not trying to bash you down Perpetuallylost, but instead disagree with you civilly, because I have quite different experiences..

Eddie: You can try to clone them, but my quess would be that they dont stop flowering once taked cuttings to root, but these clones continue producing flowers while rooting!

But what a heck, do a little experiment and try it :chin:

How´s them babies coming btw?
