Any strain that will mirror xanax, valium or ativan?

I have to agree with RIPog...I have anxiety..severe sometimes, and find a nice Sativa/Indica hybrid, more on the sativa side..ora pure Sative works best for me..I have to be very alert for my job, life, etc...but I like to medicate for my anxiety and Ive found a more Sat cross is best..Indicas are best for sleeping/vegging out stress-free!!They both have their benefits...

A few of the Mandala strains are described as being good for anxiety without destroying your mental capacities. Strains like sensi star and black domina are more for the end of the day, when there's nothing more that needs to be done.

Just avoid those panicky sativas and the heavy indicas.

Different people have different physiology, what might work for one person won't necessarily work for another. Try different types, different strains till you find the best for you.......kind of like what doctors do when prescribing the meds, except cannabis is a hell of a lot safer!

That being said....I am partial to the Blue family for anxiety relief.

But, the true causes of your anxiety will remain until you can face and deal with whatever is causing your anxiety in the first place.

I would figure just a nice hybrid would do the trick, pure sativa would make you have more anxiety and pure indica is going to give you a couch lock.

agreed. this is kinda like a "whats yer favorite indica?" thread.. youll avg about the same for replies and results.

when it comes to meds. everyone is different, sometimes more than others.. regaurdless. best advice is to look into as many strains as possible for yerself, they more medicines you can explore the higher yer chances are of finding something perfect for you!

but then, thats just my opinion.. nothing more.

Peace, bub.

:muahaha: so many cooks. only one pot.

Threads like this are still good for info. should be closed and moved into a vault for others to look at, b u t not touch. it's alike a painting that needs to be hung.

bit hypocritical of a response there :chin: theres no weed that will give anti-antiety effects with light euphoria, yet "a nice hybrid will do" ??? lol

That is true with anxiety but not with anxiety disorders that follow the DSM criteria. Some people will always and forever remain anxious about even the most benign stimuli....unless, of course, you medicate them.

Here is what works for me, a bowl of a tasty indica and a pile of cash. Nothing seems to get rid of my anxiety like a pile of cash and or a blow job.

Kyle Kushman's Strawberry Cough cut was legendary because of it's anti-anxiety effect.

Dutch Passions knock off shares only the name.

There are strains and hybrids that can trigger anxiety, have no anxiety, or have anti-anxiety effects on a 'normal' individual.

A strain that knocks you out isn't truly anti-anxiety in effect. A pleasantly uplifting euphoric strain that fades worries from your mind, quells tension, and eases muscle aches would be ideal- best if you're not unconscious for all of this. I bet there will be a significant sativa percentage in that cross...

Wasn't saying it wouldn't give you an anti anxiety effect just not the effect of what xanax is going to give you. Xanax gives you a drunken dream like can't remember what happened two seconds ago effect, really it's indescribable but thats my best attempt at describing it.
