I've never taken xanax, but I have had valium, it pretty much made me melt into my chair without thought in my head or a care in the world. Too strong for me, that's why I keep my distance from perscription drugs.

do this and make into bho. fuck your pills, this is sedation at it's best. i don't even smoke indica oil for the same reason i don't take pills. too mellowing, can't do much. i like my sats keeps me spaced and moving. i don't know where i am or what i was doing, but i'm not squinting and on my couch like indy oil. should work great for you.

IMHO, the best match would be something that clears away the anxiety without all those sedative effects....assuming you're using it to treat a clinical anxiety disorder like a prescription medication and not just a pill to relax. This is the key to medical MJ in my opinion- stress relief that keeps you functional. That said, Xanax and Valium are pretty old school and have some pretty bad sedative side-effects as well. I suppose that's why these first-gen meds are abused nowadays more than they are prescribed. Euphoric, energetic sativas would more closely mimic the newer generation of anti-anxiety meds.
