URGENT! BULB OR BALLAST?!

Did my bulb die out or my ballast? i can not tell the bulb has a very very small blueish color in it, and my ballast is not getting hot its making a humming noise but not hot? im thinking its ballast not the bulb im not sure at all though, im like 3 weeks from being done, so this fucking sucks i dont know what to do can someone help please?

btw its growbright 1k watt hps from HTG.

I would think it is the igniter of the ballast or the bulb. Get a volt meter and see if your bulb is getting juice. Ideally you would have a ballast and or a bulb to replace to troubleshoot. Since that is not the case, I would recommend buying another bulb since its only 80$ and have it shipped overnight. Is your bulb under warranty? Maybe try to RMA it quickly instead of buying a new one. Then if the bulb isn't bad, they will tell you when they test it.

I don't know what your problem is, but, while you are sorting that out, be sure to put some kind of light in your grow room to make sure you maintain your correct light cycle.

like Pharma said, get a light in there to maintain the cycle, even a fluro.

I say bulb. I have blown through 8-9 of the growbrights from HTG in the last 3 months. They will guarantee it no problem.
