Is music and arts from the Faroe Islands cool. You bet it is! I am extremely exited to announce that I’ll be part of bringing an event to Brussels, which will be proving this statement with style! The event offers the Belgian public a “once-in-a-lifetime” chance to experience the exciting music and arts scene from Europe’s smallest Nordic country the Faroe Islands.

The Faroe Islands is probably one of the most unique and peculiar places on earth. Isolated in the North Atlantic ocean between Iceland and Norway the nation has secretly developed an exciting music and arts scene. A cultural scene, which is greatly influenced by the Faroe Island’s raw and beautiful scenic nature.

The program of the day:
The ATLANTIC SOUNDSCAPES audience will get access to Faroese Audio-visual VJ presentations and exhibitions from morning to evening on Saturday the 3rd of May. The incredibly talented MARMAR girls will be one of the main artists of the day and will be presenting their "Fragmented Unison" project. This will be followed by a concert featuring 4 of the most interesting bands from the Faroe Islands (from 20:00) who will all perform accompanied by VJ visual backdrops.

The bands have been picked by a group of prominent Belgian music industry professionals from Pukkelpop, Le Soir, De Morgen, Studio Brussel, VK, Beursschouwburg, RifRaf and Soundslike.be. In other words the bands featured at the concert are the Belgian picks of the Faroese litter.
