i have grown bag seed many times, my first time growing was mexi bag seed, an incredible sativa which over grew my closet, about 5 foot and that was like 3 months of veg, my parents found it and of course i got in big trouble but it sparked my love for growing...i usually grow a couple of seeds of bag seed maybe ill find some awesome land race...its really rolling the dice i have grown some which would compete with any bought genetics to some very hempy sativa plants

There are ofcourse better mexican brick varietys than others. But is quite possible to find some great mexican that is sent across the boarder, and every now and then the seeds in those varietys can yield some special varietys. Not every batch of Mexican brick is worth keeping, obviously. But the problem most face with these varietys is that most area's in the US are unsuitable for these varietys to finish properly outdoors.

I would encourage all of the new members of this forum to experiment with the varietys they have in their area. The dutch marijuana seeds are not a 100% guaranteed thing, and selection is required even with those varietys. There has been a movement on the online forums for many years to discredit bag seeds and commercial varietys as not being worthwhile, this is not an accurate depiction of the reality concerning the value of some of these varietys out there and has lead quite a few members down a path based on a mirage. Sure there are plenty of great varietys available from the various banks and shops, but it is not fair nor remotely accurate to discredit the potential of some of the varietys that found in the US and other areas throughout the world that are not of "dutch" origin.

I have also found that many of the better "bag seed" varietys that are common the US hybridize quite well with some of the more popular dutch lines like NL, Kush, Haze and SK. You really would be surprised. But lets not get to far off from reality, its all about genetics. There is no substitute for good genetics, all the growing skills in the world wont make a mule a race horse.

My first few times growing was with mexibrick seeds. I grew out about 13 plants and they were mostly a motely assortment. A few were pretty normal, some really sucked. Its a crapshoot, once in a while you will get a pearl but you would have to grow out alot of brick seeds.

Some years ago I grew some plants from 50+ mixed seeds collected by a friend during a vacation. They were from Chiapas (Tuxtla city), Guerrero, Yucatan and Guatemala, plus 8 from Oaxaca that were separated from the others. Unfortunately I had to cut off all the crop and throw everything away before they started to flower except for an Oaxacan male and a female from the mix. So I don't know how much good they were but they were growing healthy until that sad summer. Btw my friend told me that the most potent ones were the Oaxacan and the Guatemaltecas.

Here's a lucky find from seeds I colelcted from brick weed in Cancun a couple of years ago, she takes baout 12 weeks and has the most stupendous speedy high, amazingly racing and heart-pounding. Yield is immense, I got 44g off a 2 foot plant with two colas under a 250w light, pics are from my second run of this plant at 65 days of 12/12, a couple of weeks left.

I might just enter some Mexican in the icmag cup this year. Last year I didn't think any of the sativas were very sativa dom to be honest, they were good but not what I would called a real sativa, just a hybrid with a sativa leaning. The Mexican I have has a completely sativa high, never experienced a high like it from any commercial genes.

Def as good as ur run of the mill cali outdooor. I miss the good old days of skunk. they aren't bringing as much or aren't bringin it here and its a damn shame. pound of that thru bubbke bags would be well worth it.
