Redrider was living in Colombia and had only amazing things to say about it. Unfortunately his latest post was months ago, where he announced that he was moving back to the states.
Surely there must be other Colombians on icmag! I am the other member that dkmonk is referring to.
Redrider inspired me with his amazing pictures of the beautiful hills, the $20 a pound cannabis, and the freedom to grow amazing sativas in the great Colombian weather.
I am from Santiago, Chile, but was adopted as an infant and have always wanted to visit South America, and Colombia seems like an amazing place to go.
We are planning on going from June 1-30, to see how it is, and if it's how we imagine, we will move there for good.
So does anyone here live in Colombia? Particularly the Bogota area? Or have any experiences to share? We'd both appreciate it greatly.

I liked redrider. I talked to him about it and he was bitter. He basically said it was not a good place to go unless you were like related

Youll have a great time when you go their ,people are very friendly to americans,its alot safer than the state department would have you believe. Getting pot or coke is pretty easy ,taxi drivers will help you with either for a small tip .
Be prepared to see the hottest women in your life ,and i mean it ,and if your american you will look different and they will want to meet you .If you don;t want to waste time with small dates and such ,theres tons of places to get laid for between 9 to 100 bucks , one specialized in nothing but black/spanish girls, oh sweet jesus .
Food is cheap people are friendly and like americans, vendors ,cops ,people are semi corrupt and if you get in trouble ,money can really help.I reccomed if going ,head to Cali .
Most beutiful city you will see in the mountains ,and the women...Ill be going back ...
If you need detal work done or breast implants / lipo ,bring your money .I had about $9,000 worth of work done ,broken teeth ,root canal,post crown,implant a bridge and extraction the dentist gave me a deal ,all for $1200 ,i was leary but assured from others ,and he did a kickass job ,later i found out from a colombian friend ,he likes to smoke out on the weekends LOL......Your gonna have tons of fun ,and lots of girlfriends if you will be staying their for any duration.

And before you go practice at least a little spanish ,it will go a long way

Awesome man your making me really freaking happy can you give me some details about hotels and places you stayed at cuz right now im looking to go down there w/ around 1500 to spend. I got a job plus now and ill be getting graduation money and my other side jobs that i do will easily pay for my plane ticket and give me enough money to spend.
