flo flo grow grow try #2

M

Microwido

They are looking healthy so far. I grew 2 Flo plants outdoors about a decade ago. It was some of the best weed I have ever smoked. Out of two 6 foot tall plants, i got 2 dry ounces. These things do not have much yield, but the high is super uplifting.

They all appear to be female to me, but you cant say for sure of course.

Have you ever seen sisters or brothers that didnt look that much alike? Weed is the same way. If you get super strong genetics, like me =), then they will have a higher likely hood of looking the same. (my brother and I look 95% the same, unfortunetly so does my sister lol).

Woo Hoo!! You got at least one female. It does look like plant #1 is a guy. If you so choose, or have the space you can grow out that male and make your own Flo seeds.

But what I am really impressed with here is the branching that is going on. I mean the branches from the bottom of the plant are just about as tall as the tip of the main stem. Is this known to be a trait of Flo, or is this just something you are noticing in your grow?

High Mr~SCROG :rasta:

Flo is an nice Strain with that nice uplifting buzz and that nice taste similar to Nepalese Hash, i haved lived there so i know what Nepalese taste like and the resemblence always brought back good memories.

Soundz like you have the Dutch Passion strain from the description but i never had any wide leaf pheno's, i had 2 different but close pheno's and they both had thin leavs with 9 & 11 finger leaves.

She will strech mine were trees and did well with the tree method but scrog should work as well.

I read here, the best Flo is like many Kind Strains in Homboldt :rasta:

Just hype anyway and my bad for feedin it :bashhead:

I just bought some of DP's Strawberry Cough that has been given a bad rep buy some here and great reviews by others, but i smoked some grown by someone else and it was some top smoke, one of my fav :rasta:

I really liked the DP Flo and will no doubt buy it again :rasta:

Sorry if you mentioned it, but is yours Dutch Passion or DJ Short?

Mr. Scrog, I am wondering if your plant #1 looked different from #2 and #3 because it was a male. Just a thought.

As for your breeding project, you need to wait until the male flowers are ready to burst open. You then collect the pollen in something like a petri dish and you can save it for later. You can apply the pollen to the buds, as soon as you have some pollen. You females will be just as far along as the males. Think about nature, the plants will mature at the "same" (not exactly) rate as one another, and then they pollinate. Just apply a little of the pollen to the stigmas (the white hairs) and nature will take care of the rest. Remember to wash the plant after adding the pollen, you don;t want stray pollen giving you seeds all over the plant.

ya think theres enough light in the nightstand (3200 Lumen's) to grow my male enough to get some pollen?

Your amount of light is fine. What I would consider changing is the color spectrum. Your spectrum is probably around 2700 Kelvin. You would be better served if it were around 6000 K. That would be the only adjustment I could see.
