Ak-47 Vs. Ak-48

yeah.. spot on.. 47 seems fairly uniform, great F/m ratio, everything germed, quality smoke

48.. bland, didn't germ well, purple, nodes "ran" unlike anything that is in 47,, but definetly produced large colas.

either one though wasn't really a keeper for me ,, though.. compared to others stock I would recommend if taste wasn't an issue an a easy to grow bud plant was.


Edit: after seeing this thead... I busted out a nug of ak47 that's been sitting for 4 mo. I have to admit.. it does taste very good.. and wow I took two quick tubes and the high is rushing to my dome!!

I've done probably 50-60 packs .. plenty of locals at times.. had done 48 ... but not until last year did I do 47..

I understand why 47 is such a solid choice.. 10 years to late

I've never grown 47, but I've had my taste of her in the past. There's no comparison as far as high goes, good 47 is some killer weed. 48 is a bit more tame, still packs the punch, but it doesn't seem as couch lock as good ole 47. The 48 I grew was from nirvana, yield was good, but not as tight as 47. Mine looked just like Pontiac's, without the purple hue.

I am having 5 nice SS 47's flowering. Two of those are around 27 days into flowering.

What I noted yesterday was that the smaller one Already is very very resinous. When touching the leaves my finger gets more sticky than any other plant I have ever grown. Smell is not really pleasent but ok. It is very light green in colour and smaller than the other of same age.

My question for you experienced ak47 growers is if that is ordinary for ak47. Is this a potential keeper. Do you know of that pheno and how does the smoke rate. I
I intend, rather hope, htat I would find a keeper for a hydro run, to take place after the mothers finish.

I would to start taking a cut for a mother the sooner the better if anyone could verify that this is a resingoddess based on above description and worth making a mom ?

i never grown any ak 47 from seeds but the cut i own is a keeper for sure ....lotta resin , huge yield , outstanding high , pungency...

I've never been disappointed by any Nirvana strain. grew this AK-48 from clone for over a year. Best way to describe it is "Devastating"

I believe it is the cherry phenotype im not too sure. *note the purple hue. (I've never seen purple AK47 bud)

It doesn't have to be purple to be the cherry pheno. I believe mine was the cherry pheno as when you popped the jar it smelled identical to maraschino cherries

not bad for a 2 dollar hooker as someone referred to her . i have had reasonable good luck with nirvana's seeds .
i've tried : aurora indica , shiva , ak48 , and have some superskunk yet to try . i tried sensi's instead first and am so happy with it that i have an unopened pack of nirvana brand . i originally ordered them to do a side by side comparison sensi vs. nirvana . ok so my friend i think still had the sensi seeds remainder of the pack .... he never did carry out the experiment .... i don't/didn't have the room but that is a future story to tell . many blessings , hidingtree

When i get more money ill get ak47 and White Russian and do a comparison grow with all 3 strains.

Hi fellow stoners my two pennies.Just harvested serious seeds ak,not bad really .Bought one pack think 11 beans all but one germd but only got 4 females,this was pretty bogus because about 6 years ago i grew white russian(serious seeds)and got eight females all coverd in crystal and real knock out.All four ak were different in small ways,plant structure was virtually identical but thats it.one was really green and not much crystal,one vitually brown covered in crystal,one was silver because of crystal and the last is crystally but chunky.Not complaing at all,it is nock out gear but is totally tasteless,this is the only bad thing about it as i like tasty smelly skunk,so ive got sadhu and hashberry now only 4 to 5 weeks left never grown any nivarna seeds dude,the silver one

That sounds like a very good initiative gunner, I'd definitely want to see a comåparison between the two ak's.

I am actually a bit disappointed about AK47. Yields ok but taste and high is too generic and spiritless. The high is pleasant but not very strong. Would at best call it a workable daysmoke. Got 6 ladies of 10. 100% germination. The dark green and not very resincoated pheno was the best of the lot. Surprisingly.
I am a heavy smoker though.
