apollo haze

wow, talk about frosty #3! lol (and is that a little bit of Mg deficiency i see on the edges of the leaves?)

looks like the grow is coming along great, happy to hear how well it works for SOG. I'll have to add it to my wish list of strains. one of these days, after i grow myself a mother, i'll be able to get started on a perpetual SOG box - no more smokeless nights haha :joint:

Yekno; Yep #3 is the frostiest so far, looking like the amnezia haze is dominating that girls genetics, but #2 I think is starting to look pretty sweet, too lots of chrystal coming in, but not hazey like the other one where the frost is on the edge of the leaves, but more evenly spaced over the face of the leaves, so interesting to note the differences in chooser a keeper or for breeding.

Mg deficiency may well be, thanks for the tip, I don't know hardly anything about nutes, but I think it's mostly because of the setup where I have all the buckets in a line fed by a reservoir at one end so the buckets on the far end away from the reservoir don't get any fresh water and nutes, it's all eaten up by the first buckets. So I'm hand feeding the last buckets every couple days. We'll see how this works out. No smokeless days or nights, not to mention other perks. 8+)

Apollo haze ready to blast off!!!

I think she is over 8 weeks and ready to be chopped, but I'm gonna hang on a little while longer because of various reasons. Crystal production along the edges of the leafs is just phenomenal, and the buds are pretty solid looking although I've barely touched these buds so far. But anyway, dyno Might, A number one, top of the shelf weed my friends. :headbange And I couldn't have done it without ICMAG and various members. :muahaha:

Here's the other ones before I break my arm patting myself on the back.

The last on in flower, a ways to go yet, but she's gonna be a big girl.

This one looks like she's gonna yield the least, so that's a big negative in my book. hehe.

This is an interesting variation and she's definitely worth some consideration.
Orange hairs indicate this girl may lean more towards the fruity apollo.

I have squeezed these buds a couple times about 10 days ago, pretty solid, so she would be my second choice so far. :joint:

highliter, yek- thanks for the props. I was licking my fingers after touching these buds.
The smell was exotic at first then the citrus, orange smell came later.

sack- the apollo high is one of the best, very happy, trippy, active, mind expanding high. Makes me want to explore, learn new things. At least that's what I remember, I'll report pretty soon. This first one is more hazey, the next one has the fluffy white buds turning orange with the heavier citrus smell. I grew 4 all female and the last one just now flowering. I'll give a full report here and go over all the details comparing the 4 variations and how I determine a keeper and breeding stock. Then hopefully do some breeding with the keeper clones.

rock on, deZerTomB. its great to see people like you who take a scientific stance when breeding. i'm eager to see how they come out when cured, different phenotypes are fun to taste test between :joint:

3 more coming soon.

3 more coming soon.

3 amigas left.

They are all 3 little bit different, 2 are plenty frosty. The 3rd is still a few weeks away and will probably will crank up some crystal soon. I will chop one in a couple days, she is ready to go, all the hairs have turned red and burnt looking. The next girl has orange, yellow, white hairs and the buds are getting nice and chunky, the smell is heavenly. :jump:

Yep, they're getting fat, Yek.

I'll compare buds from all 4 plants side by side at the end when they are all dried out. Of course I'll have to save some, but I got mucho mota right now, so no problem.

I'm guessing since the genetic parents are apollo, c99 and amnesia haze, and I'm getting 3 phenos, one of each, pretty cool.

sack- good to see you. It's going great actually, can't complain, oh yeah, I'm getting old and I could always get laid more often. hehe. But enough of that on to the task at hand, sorry. I don't keep complete records so I don't remember much about my breeding projects. Originally I crossed a female & male from rez's apollo mix, then from those grew out 3 female and crossed again with a male from the same batch, I still have 2 small packs of those. I think I only had 1 clone from those 3 females and that was crossed to a jlp c99Xamnesia haze male but I also had a hermmie so that may be why I'm getting so many females. The clone was probably based on bushiness or number of branches, since that was what I was trying to get the bushiest plant and it is easy to identify early in growth.

Now it looks like I have stabilized the bushy part, because these all look very similar in structure, lots of branches, I can't really pick one over another for bushiness. Now I'm seeing variations at the very end of flowering as far as smell, color, bud density, size and shape. They all finish in 8 weeks easy and are slow veggers. Not much stretch in flower, so they are easy to control in limited space.

I save all my seeds and frequently find a few here and there, especially now since this is my first run through on this batch all from seed. But I hope to start some more beans this week and hope to do a little breeding again, it's been a while. Maybe I'll find a male friend for my girls, party time.
