Purple Kush or Mendo Purps?

Why does everyone gotta hate on the purps? All I have to say is some of the best herb Ive ever smoked was purple Urkle. It stunk up the whole room just by opening a little jar of buds. It tasted awesome, and kept me toasty for a good 2hrs...sooo yeah I love purple weed, blue weed, green weed whatever its all good

love the mendo....taste buzz yield all were good. Haven't grown out the urkle yet, but it's gonna get a run soon I think ( hope ), Vaped urkle is a rare treat.....taste is off the chart IMO

Ive grown urkel, PK, Mendo Purps, and GDP. All are top notch herb. I would say that its all hows its grown.

Example... You can take the best cut of steak and have the worst cook fuk it all up. Same with growers.

darthvapor- I saw reeferman has some purps and early purple kush and they sound good. I want to see what the hype is all about. I've read some people say pk is pretty relaxing and tasty.

If you can get your hands on this elite strain I highly recommend!
This is the stickiest and sweetest smelling strain I have ever grown.
Mine is the Sr71 cut. If you can get your hands on it, try to keep a mother alive because it is getting more and more difficult to buy it.





This is some COUCHLOCK! Not the best daytime smoke but who cares.

good to hear all good reviews about the sr71 pk cuts as i have 2 clones that are now mothers and many clones are about to get flowered so diary i will start.I think herb is like anything u have to have good strains our highs to really get the full enjoyment out of it.Just my opinion and we know everyone will express theirs.

I just smoked some PK last night.

My cut is slow to veg, 0 stretch in flower, fruity/floral smell and taste, and very nice euphoric body high with a head that's perfect for relaxing with music, movie, or a good book. Awesome with red wine. I think it's quite good and I'm not partial to purple or indica in general. It's much better then GDP which has a boring high and very heavy morning after. No experience with Mendo Purps.

Trust me Bros out there , there are other things to rave about besides the generic PURP, this strain has the potentcy and tolerence factor of a limp paper towel stuffed in your bowl on a nightly basis., Grown out; it will actually yield a small handfull of PM infested nugs.... these strains define the difference between something that only looks and tastes unique, has a large commercial audience, and sells out the ASS compared to a strain that has many positive attributes not HYPED up by a CONFUSED and superfiscial Market....Steer towards SATIVA/INDICA crosses unless your positively MINDFUCKED into growing "Da PurP"

the purple kush cut at the sr is the same as k's cut from trichome tech. I think that might even be where they got it. Is that the "REAL" purple kush dfa? It sure taste similar to urkel and granndaddy to me.

It is not just sweet it is almost a putrid sweet. To be honest i have not seen the real PK cut that i used to smoke back in the days for almost four to five years now. Everything is just crosses now it seems like. Garbage compared to the OG PK cut from the nineties and early two thousands.

Its the KK-PK created in the 90s. So i imagine its his cut of pk we are thinking, and its way different than all others.

The 'Mendo Purple' cuts have been flying around the Oregon medical cannabis grower's organizations for several months. I picked up a cutting at the monthly NORML clone-exchange meeting up in Portland back in October, grew it out, dried & cured the buds for a couple of months.

Since I'm a 'compliant grower' and stick to the 6 plants in flower rule, this strain didn't earn a repeat performance in my garden. I was not impressed enough to continue keeping this strain. At the annual "Grower's Cup Awards" last Saturday night for medical growers, 4 or 5 of us were discussing this strain and all of the problems associated with it, like powdery mildew, pitiful yield, etc. For severe/chronic pain management, it's 'fair' at best. And that's probably a stretch.

There are much better strains to grow for one's own use, especially if you're limited to the number of experiments that you can have going on.
