WaterFarm complete simple question.

I'm starting a new grow and I've read lots of different advice on how much to water the plant. Anywhere from 15 mins every 3hrs and 1hr on 1hr off or just running it 24/7. Can anyone give some good advice on a waterfarm drip system and how much water to give initially and throughout?

Waterfarms are awesome systems. Leave them dripping 24-7. This will keep all the water and nutrients moving around and avoid stagnation. To know how to keep the waterfarm full there is a line on the blue hose that comes out of the bottom side. Don't fill above that line and you'll be set.

Thanks for the quick answers this made it easier as I wont have to get a 2nd timer for the WaterFarm just need the 15amp one for the ballast. Much appreciated from a new grower!

yup. 24/7..

check your rings often though, as the rings have a tendancy to clog.

GL with your waterfarms. i used to run 2 of them.
they are high maintenance.. but can produce if you put in the time and effort.
best of luck.

waterfarms are meant to be run constantly. if your plant looks like it is being overwatered, it is being overfertilized. dump half your res and top off with clean water and retest.

use your tds/ec meter

for the strains that show over watering just turn the pumps off at nite and turn them back on at lights on

i have run waterfarms for six years...yes some strains show over watering and the solution is to turn off the pumps at lights out...even if you are not showing problems of over watering you can turn your pumps off at lights out...i ran coco in my farms before and had to do this...bluerberry is a nutient synsitive strain so maybe you are correct on that being his problem...anyways i consider myself a waterfarm expert....i love the system.....peace

ok another trick to know your actual ec readings with the farms is to check your ppms before adding to the system...check after...subtract first number from the second number and that gives you the number to subtract from your total ppms each time you check your rez for the actual ec reading minus medium particles

I ran mine 24/7. Before I got something underneath it to keep it from being noisy (like a towel under the actual bucket) I unplugged it and accidently left it unplugged for like a week. The roots that grow INTO the water were just fine. But always put a layer of coco mat down in the brown bucket so you can pick it up without roots hanging out everywhere. that the whole beauty of a hydrofarm. I love those little things. But when starting out, for sure keep it running AT LEAST 75% of the time (i.e. 45 minutes out of every hour and break up the time as you see fit) But you won't hurt it running 24/7
