Its a book about Prasmahansa Yoganonda and his journey from a child in India to a man in the US in the early 1900s. He tells various tales of miracles he witnesses, and famous and influential people he met and influenced including Gandhi, Brubank, and Bose (english scientist credited with sending and receiving radio signals before Marconi). It is ultimately a story about his love for hi guru and his love for GOD. This ultimately leads him to study Kriya yoga as his primary means for achieving this union with GOD. He taught this technique to thousands of Americans and some of his original students are still teaching.

I read it a few years back. I am getting into reading it again now. A VERY good book and a worthwhile read. Opens you up to hope and aspiring to achieve true lasting greatness.

It sounds good to me. I'll put it at the top of my list. I read the Dalai Lama's The Path to Enlightenment and it has been extremely beneficial to me.

Thanks

Yogi is smarter than the average bear.
Yogi Bear is always in the Rangers hair.
At a picnic table you will find him there,
Stuffing down more goodies than the average bear.

He will sleep till noon but before it's dark,
He'll have every picnic basket in Jelly Stone Park.
Yogi has it better than a millionaire,
Thats because he's smarter than the average bear.

Sounds like a good read, I'll have to check it out.

Also, I agree with Babba, show this guy some respect. If you don't believe in a God/Gods and are sick of hearing it just click out of the thread if you don't want to read more about it. It's not that hard to just pass over threads such as these.

So dont come to the thread simple. What is it that made you think this whole place is about you anyways. You dont like whats in a thread then go on by. This site doesnt revolve around your likes or dislikes.

You dont like whats in the thread then just go on bye. Thread starter asked about a book and you came in OFF TOPIC. Whats the point? Thread starter asked for opinions about a book not your view on God and the universe. Why crash the dudes thread. Its called respect. No attacks here just facts/

I havnt finished the autobiography but I have read about 10 other books of his. Anyone who is interested in Paramahansa should look into the Self Realization Lessons. Super cheap and you get a new book every 2 weeks. Like 50 bucks a year
