I could have sworn this was a no-brainer. I live in a shitty ghetto apt with TONS of space, but not enough circuits. I have an extra 1000w HPS just laying around, so I cleared some space, arranged all my current electrical needs on one circuit, then proceeded to plug in the 1000 on the remaining empty circuit.
As soon as the plug hits the socket, the circuit blows out. What the fuck is up with that? I really am up shits creek without a paddle if I can't run this thing. Do they even make circuits that carry less than 15 amps? Everything else in my apt (Fridge, Comp, Tv, A/C's, veg cab, etc) runs on the other circuit, and it only blows out if I try to turn the toaster or microwave on when the TV is on.
Why is this single 1000w HPS tripping my circuit instantly?
