It's not moonshine--it's wine. Good stuff though. Did they put the cinnamon stick in it? That stuff will creep up on you and get you drunk as shit before you know it.

man this was not wine.wine doesnt have the heat after it hits your gut.local dude makes it.he makes also normal shine with no added flavor.I only had a small styrofoam coffee cup of it.might get some to flavor with some bud and see how it taste.Peace

When I think of moonshine it has to be whiskey or whitelightning--anything fruity is wine--which can be really strong--enough to start fires. I've soaked some buds in wine before and got a killer headache--If you do it go easy with it.

I dont think you guys had shine yet,the best shine tastes of young hair pie and makes ya act just as stupid!!

Being I can make it, and flavor it, I'll tell you exactly why I believe you DID try Apple Pie flavored shine.....

Because I have a recipe for it. :rasta:

Though I do prefer mine with a "raw" taste, I keep recipes around for company and mainly the wife. She likes the fruit flavored stuff better.

Just get a bottle of EverClear or another 100 poof and soak whatever ya want in it....if it really was a distilled product, the apple was just a flavoring or additive anyway.

"Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from fermentation of grape juice.[1] The natural chemical balance of grapes is such that they can ferment without the addition of sugars, acids, enzymes or other nutrients.[2] Although other fruits such as apples and berries can also be fermented, the resultant "wines" are normally named after the fruit from which they are produced (for example, apple wine or elderberry wine) and are generically known as fruit or country wine. Others, such as barley wine and rice wine (e.g. sake), are made from starch-based materials and resemble beer more than wine, while ginger wine is fortified with brandy. In these cases, the use of the term "wine" is a reference to the higher alcohol content, rather than production process.[3] The commercial use of the English word "wine" (and its equivalent in other languages) is protected by law in many jurisdictions.[4] Wine is produced by fermenting crushed grapes using various types of yeast which consume the sugars found in the grapes and convert them into alcohol. Various varieties of grapes and strains of yeasts are used depending on the types of wine produced.[5]"

"Wines are also made from fruits other than grapes. Fermented apple cider is considered a wine. Perry is produced from pears. There are also cherry wines, plum wines, and wines made from various berries. Many fruit wines are home-fermented products, but some are manufactured commercially as well. Fruit wines contain about 12 percent alcohol. When they are fortified with brandy, the alcohol content is increased to about 20 percent."

karma, only using grapes can you ferment a well balanced wine. When you make berries wine for example, you need to add sugars to provent the berries or apples to ferment too much producing too much alcohol, so you do not get true wine from fruits which are not grapes. that is why apple cider wine etc... are just named that for convenience, not technical. it is like calling cannabis pot, we know it is not actual pot.
