Let me share with you my micro grow...

100w HPS










40x40cm and 80cm height. 4 pots with a 5 litre capacity. 3 Mazar and 1 Durban Poison flowering for 20 days. Intensive training.

After dried each plant produced around 10gr. Space could have been better used with square pots because there was space enough to 4 pots of 7 litre (20x20x27cm). From the 80cm height I have only used 50cm.

they look damn good, but those containers look kinda big for those plants, thus taking up more vertical space when you could grow them bigger. i cut the containers shorter and veg longer.

Yeah, right now I'm using different containers, square and not so tall. Anyway I'll be doing my last harvest in this Micro Grow in february and then it will be upgraded to a Homebox XS which has double the space of this one. Mine is 40x40cm (0,16m2) and Homebox XS is 60x60cm (0,36m2).

In the Homebox I'm going to use this HPS100w and an aditional Envirolite 125w (white spectrum) for 9 plants in 20x20cm containers (7 litres). I just don't know yet how to deal with it when it comes to air extraction/intraction. Maybe some RVK 160m3/h... Any suggestion?

UPDATE

Now I'm using the micro 100wHPS to veg some clones and plants from seed. I have Blueberry, Hashberry, Hashplant, Afghani #1, Black Jack and Original Big Bud x Super Skunk.












The Afghani #1 that was grown in the micro grow with the 100wHPS:













And the bud I've smoked last week, Satori from Mandala Seeds, also grown and flowered with the 100wHPS:

Your gonna be spending ~200W on that HPS+Fluo setup, and i understand that you allreaddy have the gear, and thats cool, but ... , if youre thinking something perpetual, i would defenetelly recomend that you get the 250 HPS!

Now let them veg good for the big bright yellow 400s thats waiting for them!!

wow very nice dude I think i have a good idea for you to get a larger yield EXTREMELY out of your micro.. probabaly 2x the amount you have been getting..

Try growing only 2 plants ok... both in square pots both in opposite corners.

Have drop your 100watter to the middle of the box. so what.. 40cm from top 40 from bottom.. and dead center in middle.

Try vertical SCROG, youll have to veg your plants a little longer in order to get then nice and tall and able to pull them around the sides and around the bulb. Probably a chicken wire fence would be perfect, wrap it around the bulb so its so far from it how ever far that is...

And im sure that youll produce a hell of alot more bud for yourself

very impressive for 100w hps! If you're getting a homebox I'd suggest a 250w hps and scrog or sog for best results, that way you can use the 100w for a veg cab and have the 250 for flowering and never run out of bud to smoke

Hi! Thanks everybody!

Military: Thanks for the suggestion, I may try something like that in the near future. But for now, and as I said in my first post, I'm going to move to a Homebox XS (60cmx60cmx120cm / 2feetx2feetx4feet) and I'm planning to use the 100wHPS together with an Envirolite 125w (blue spectrum fluor). I'm getting 225w in two different spectrums. Let me explain how I'm planning to dispose the 8 plants:

The 100wHPS will stay on the top of the 6 blue pots, right in the middle. The Envirolite will stay right between the 2 green pots, in a vertical position in order to give light on the plants side branches. I'm going to do it like this because I heard that the HPS light has a bigger penetration ability than the fluors. I use 7liter pots (20x20cm), so 9 plants would fit like a glove on such closet, but instead of the 9th plant there will be an Envirolite 125w.

But hey Military, I see your vertical SCROG idea and it really lights myself up, hehehe, maybe I'll really give it a try after I harvest the 8 plants the I'm vegging this days.

250wscrogger and _frankenstein_: Yeah, I also may consider that in the near future because I also would like to use the Envirolite 125w for a veg room. Then a 250wHPS would be the best for the flowering space. And the 100wHPS... I could always give it away to a friend or something...

How was the smoke on the satori??

Were the buds of the satori and afgani dense under the 100w?

I got 3 different Satori phenos, one of them had dense buds, the others had "airy" buds, sativa type. I had the 3 Satoris under the 100wHPS last summer and I managed to take something between 8 and 12grs from each plant. The Afghani #1 is the first time I'm growing and will be harvested maybe in 15/20 days. They definetly look like they gonna be hard after dried, I would say big flowers but not in a big number so they are not dense. They are very "crusty" all covered with trychomes, she is not the best producer from the 4 strains I'm flowering (others are Hashplant, BlackJack and Big Bud Super Skunk) but it's definetly the most beautiful one.

What kind of temps are you seeing in there with 100w hps?

Well, I guess it goes much about the place where you live. With the 100wHPS on I get around 20/25celcius degrees but I live in the south of Portugal and outside temps are around 12-20º. That's as cold as it gets, December and January are the coldest months.

It is a very nice strain if you are looking for a good producer and fast Sativa. The smoke is very smooth and you don't get tired of it easily. Even being a Sativa it will not give you any anxiety, you can relax in some way and at the same time the body effect is very soft. In my opinion it could taste better, and the 3 phenos I had showed a very similar taste, so I guess that trait is present in all the phenos. I also don't appreciate very much the way it burns, but it may be from the sample I've been smoking. I may grow it again one day but I guess I'm not interested in keeping a mother. Anyway, as a plant, she is nice, vigorous, with a very controlable stretch even in micro grows and shows a slightly hazy/spice smell while still alive. I haven't yet grown such an exceptional low priced Sativa as Satori, it's definetly a great value for money.

hum... so over all it looks like that your strain was pretty much... DANK.. or in other works REALLY good mersh? Correct me if im wrong but this vocabulary can really make people see the quality of your smoke in a more clear picture

But ya its still well worth it Nothing beats free weed(minus setup cost)

You should def try that vertical scrog though if you get a chance because of the area your working with... TALL but not so wide and deep So its a perfect candidate no doubt.

With my grow now.. Im actually going to move over to SOG style im thinking... Hydro SOG.. much harder of course but do'able.

And yes, it was definetly not the best weed I had in the last year. From MandalaSeeds I found Hashberry much better. But hey, when I say I didn't like Satori that much you should be aware that I'm a bit picky, hehehe. And also, I evaluated my ability to judge a strain with a 6/10, so I also admit I have yet a long way to go until all the info I provide can be near 100% trustful.

Also how tall are your plants when you flower on averag. The satori for example you gained 8 to 12 grams off a clone flowered how big??

Plants from seed usually grow for 30 to 50 days before turning to 12/12, depending on strain. When dealing with clones I let the grow for 10/15 days after they get roots. The Satoris where not clones. I vegged them for 45 days, they had around 25cm and after stretch they got to 40cm.

Thats even when I gave them an extra 1 week... Man Only 1/3 way done lol BUT I did happen to test a really crappy lookingbud Not gona lie WAS SOME GOOD SMOKE FOR 3 weeks old

also not gona lie lol my plany smells like shit Its like a very ....bitter pungent smell.. Like hard to describe.. Might be the nutes though, will tell for sure after flush.
