Gnarly - did you mean the little guys into the yogurt cups? Or the yogurt cups into the 20 ounce? I wanted the let the rootball develop more so that with the next transplant, I won't wait so long inbetween waterings. Most of the yogurt cups have only been watered once and are taking around a week or so to dry out.

Yes. I'd give them 3 weeks in the yougart cups, then transplant them into the finish size containers and throw them to 12/12. Next let them show you when they want water, just starting to wilt from dryness.

Day 7 - Waiting Game

The new transplants are lookin good, not planning on watering for another week or so. I know the roots are lookin good for what the transplants look like. The SD roots are crazy!!!!! I love it. So are the kushes and the moemist! Plannin on keepin them here like man above said in the yogurt cups.

Someone needs to help me out with this, cause I don't know if transplanting during flower with make lower or higher yeilds. Quality is number one in my garden.

I wanted the plant to grow right, just making sure they can go 2 weeks with barely any water. Anyone else feel free to comment.

I definitely need to add more perlite, but all my stores only have the mg products. I am afraid the mg will make my plants die, I just really hate that stuff cause there are so many mixed opinions on it. I would rather go with something blank, that way I can ask other growers how to built the pallete right.

Gladysvjubb - thanks for stopping by bud, your input helps me with what I thought. I think I will not go directly into flowering from those though, I had a problem with a bunch of stretch and stuff previously. I think I will instead try to build up the roots slowly at the begining. I will go from about 5oz yogurt cups, then 12 oz styrofoam cups, then probably 3/4 of a 2 liter cut down. Then the plan is one gallon grow bags, inwhich I will start the flower but not finish. I will put them into 3 gallon maybe the last 7 weeks.

^The middle one looks healthier and more indo than sativa at this point. Does anyone think the other two will be anything? Could the kali on the right be 100% sativa almost or just a mess-up? The middle one is still a nice sd ibl mix. Its staying short so maybe it doesn't stretch hopefully? The other on the left is also a SD Ibl mix. Not much to say for this one but it has smooth leaves. It looks like a mini sativa with smooth leaves.

^The most recent guys planted. I believe these are all pretty recent to being put into the yogurt cups.

^These are the middle guys, looks like 1 moemist with the purple straw and the rest are 50/50 indica sativa (height-wise) sd ibl mixes.

^ One snowkush f2 and three moemist, one being about a week older and is in the mix at the very top of the page (less perlite, heavier, more compost, less peat). This older kali I accidentally let get stuck to my sticky fly traps. It ripped a cotyledon leaf in half, which I am not happy about because it looked like a great mix between the kali and the chem. I know what the kali is like in terms of fame, but I really wanna see the chem is all about too. Anybody out there got the chemdog? Or white mustang?

Does anyone think I should go from the 3/4 of a 2 liter into the 3 gallon grow bag? I plan on doing either that or another thing. I was possibly gonna go from the 1.5 liter (3/4 of a 2 liter) to a gallon grow bag, then the 3 gallon. The important thing is I don't want a lot of stretch, and I also want solid roots before starting flower so that the plant gets an extra boost from the roots being on the bottom of the pot.

Here is the small cotyledon rip, no biggie. These things usually shivel up and dry out sooner. I have been keeping the ph right, thats keeping all the nutrients flowing properly. I just keep adding things to take it down, knowing its gonna rise back up due to the natural tendencies and the compost added.

^Moemist
top shot. Notice how my camera only can focus on the soil. I usually try the pothead move and move backwards just a little bit to get it to focus on the plant.

^Thought to be William's Wonder X Sour D ibl.

Best news of all... after about 2 tries, I have finally kept the patience up to grow this sucker. I was watering with tea and saw the two sprouting seed cups (will's wonder x sour diesel ibl and snowdogxhindu kush f1) were dry. This is the 2nd try on the snowdog. I should have put both of them in rockwool but hey I'm lazy sometimes and wanna do it the 'natural selection' way. Who would want a marijuana plant that wouldn't grow in soil? Seems like an oxymoron to me. Anyway, check it out. Thanks for anyone stopping by and even takin a peep.

Be careful about too much veg time. When you go to 12/12, that'll start the stretch. It takes a bit of experience to dial it all in. I went from being a massive over veger to doing all my grows 12/12 from seed. As you can see my Master Kush stretched like mad even with the 12/12 from seed technique.

I just now chopped Blubonic which was a bit more controlable at 12/12 from seed. Nice odor. Crystally buds. They're on the drying rack now.

From experience I would not veg past 3 weeks unless space is not a problem.
Your seedlings look excellent and I like your water management techniques. Make 'em work!

Day 8
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here it is:

Group shot. The plants on the left are generally older except for the bottom right plant which was transplanted yesterday. This is crazy because I wasn't even trying to do a long shot and the pictures just kinda connected. This is how I will try to do my shots from now on.

Does anyone want me to continue with the color coding on the plants?

Thanks for stopping by again gladys, didn't want to veg them too long but I will see.
Great news everyone...
there is a new couple of strains in the family
Snowkush f1 and williams wonder X sd Ibl (95 percent sure on the ww part) finally popped out into the world overnight. Here they are, tiny but there.

A big thanks to everyone who gives their time, love, and help. You definitely know who you are.

Hahah the organics is worth it my friends. I am pretty much not gonna add much to the soil.

Part of the reason I let it grow slow is that I both keep the air cooler than 72-73 most of the time and also don't water or fertilize much at the begining. This is supposed to help produce more females but who knows. Also, I start my plants on 12/12 and slowly work my way up. I have done this before and even after killing the stressed plants from mildew (got too friendly with the cheap neem oil), the only ones left were female. That was from more than I am starting this time, but I am expecting far better results with my low stress environment. I was reading something about Lougrew, who is the guy that got me interested in this site... he said starting out under floro tubes is an excelent way to not stress the plants. I did give them a flash or two of the hps, but try to keep them under the cool blue light. I want the plants to slowly transition, but there is something I have heard about seedlings needing to be supplemented with heavy lighting so they can learn to accept it all? Anyway I guess I could put them all under the sunlight or something and that would be even better.

Day 9
Hello, still barely any water given. I transplanted the older Moemist into about 12 ounces of soil. It had a really nice set of roots. There was all this fuzz similar to what a tiny bit of micro fungi would do. I liked what I saw, there are only 3 plants left to go into yogurt cups and I just got more yogurt! I really don't care for it but the cups are the perfect size for me. I also hate cleaning dirty pots, its a pet peve.

^ Group shot

New snowkush F1 and there is also an already sprouted williams wonder X sd ibl which had to be covered with more soil due to sprouting upside down.

Day 10
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

William's Wonder X Sour Diesel ibl finally came up, looks decent enough. It took a while to get one of these to come up, it looks like I just had to be patient I guess.

I gave a big watering yesterday, it was the first for some plants while being in the yogurt cups (other than when transplanted). I am glad I waited this long, they loved it. Checked the garden 10 mins ago and everything is stinking already! The kali, snowkush, and SD mixes all have their own unique scent. There is more of a common smell between the SD mixes and the snowkush f2's, with the SD mixes winning overall for stench.

Anyway, gave a big big dosage of earthworm castings to get the ph down around 6.3-6.4 hopefully. I am loving this system of growing, everything is coming up very well and evenly pretty much.

Mr piston38 - Thanks for the comments. They are about to be under a metal halide full-time once I get either the 600w digital ballast or the conversion bulb for a 400. Of course I want a 1000, but thats a completely different story.
Old Soul - Great having you by, its an honor. I can't wait either. I believe these are some of the slower growers due me treating them like babies. I haven't had one seedling perish, and only about 4 seeds not sprout which were questionable in the first place. After giving them a good dose of worm-casting teas, I have decided its time to get some bonticare pure blend pro. This and some sort of lightener I can add to the mix. I don't want to add anything thats not organic from this point on, so hopefully I can take a trip to get some dirt!

Day 11
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some are double photos

Thanks for anybody coming around. The plants are stinking horribly. The fastest growing Kali takes the stink-trophy for today. They are starting to get that organic smell to them. Anyone who grows with organic nutes understands what I am saying. They got kinda big, have been under the hps for about 4 hours a day. They still have not recieved anything (i.e. micro fungi, blood/bone meal teas, kelp, guano top dressing) except for top dressing with light worm casting teas.

^Sour D ibl mix. This is the purple plant.
