roor jar lid stuck!!!

i have a roor glass on glass jar that has been stuck for some time now, supposidly this happens alot but ive tried numerous things and cannot get it off. and ideas?

its just like this one..

I've got a bunch of those, and its a common problem, but usually for me when hashoil gets stuck near the top.

First, do not grab the top with needle nose plyers and pull. Doesnt work.

If its empty, get a hair dryer, and warm the outside of the ground glass region. the glass on the outside will heat quicker than the inside, and expand. Then try to get it off by pulling with your finger.

If you have hashoil in it, you have to warm the whole thing in a cup of boiling water, and usually the expansion will slowly pop the top off without any pulling at all.

In the future, put a small amount of vegetable oil in the seal.

ive had this prob with roor jars in the past. wound up doing foafs sugestions, hot water. even leave it under the hot tap water for a few min.

Hot water, elbow grease, and patience.

If it's stuck because of suction wouldn't you use cold water? or stick it in the freezer maybe?

herbal: the cold water will cause contraction. YOu might be able to use an ice cube on the lid while soaking the rest in a shallow bath of hot water, but if you put the whole thing in cold water its probably not gonna do much good at all.

Had this happen in Amsterdam a few years ago... took it back to the shop where I purchased it and the guy tried everything... ended up giving me a refund and breaking the thing open.

i have kif in the jar so that will most likeley be what got stuck in the lid and is causeing it to stay stuck, ive tried a lighter around the outside, tapping it, i guess i will try the water and see if tha works,

My glass on glass ash catcher just got stuck on the diffuser. Saw a tip on gras5city to use cold water so, I took them out and ran them under super cold water out in the garage sink and they came right apart. Freezer maybe?

Yeah, I used to have a few of those RooR Jars but I didnt like them...They werent really Airtight and they would get stuck sometimes....Get you some 420 jars...IMO..They are much better...~ogr

container store sells the SAME jars 420jars uses.... with no logos. for $3-8, instead of 10-30$, for whatever it's worth....

If those are dome perks on the right I would say PHX Trinity since its a PHX A/C if they are tree percs then prolly a lux.

doesnt look laser cut looks like circles on the difuser so no lux..... in my mind there is nothing better than a lux

Hi..had this happen too......grab the lid and rock it back and forth don't twist it side to side but rock it from left to right and this usually works......peace.......

thing is still stuck nothing i do works, and i fear the day when i just have to break it
