I'm looking to grow and have selected JW NL since it's the stealthy and easiest. That's the only thing I have right now...
I have located a SEALED room in a 1000 sq ft apartment, it is about 12ft by 8ft and has 10 ft ceilings. It will be completely vacant from February until July...
I saw this thread http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=13327
and decided that's probably what I'm gonna do. I am also probably going to get a Hydro Hut Mini. Now I have a TON of NEWB questions so I'm just gonna throw a couple of them out there and hope to get some responses.
1) I'm probably gonna be using a 400HPS light system...so is too much heat normally the problem? I pray it is because I have a 15K BTU A/C dedicated just to the room, so I can run that on full blast all day long. Is there a specific temperature I'm supposed to keep the room the whole time? I think something like 75F would be really easy to do(so hopefully that's around the right number). Or is it differente between vegging and flowering?
2) I haven't even really worked out all the details on how to crack the beans and get the thing started, but lets say I have the tent hooked up, the temperature stays 75F, and the light is all setup. Now all I gotta do is make the bucket as described here http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=13327 ? How often am I gonna have to refill the water and refill the nutrient solution? I was thinking I'd go with one of those HUGE plastic jugs from Walmart and fill the whole thing then cut 10 holes in it for plants and hope to get 4-6 females and just grow those out. Out maybe two of those huge buckets and cut 5 holes in each and grow 2-3 females in each...I'm not really clear on how often I have to refill it with water and nutrients ( I assume each one of these "huge" buckets can hold liek 50 gallons of water)
3) How exactly do I crack the seeds and get the original plant started? I read people say they "manually cracked the beans" then put them in a warm towel but what does that even mean?
Yea so right now I have the beans, I have a HUGE ozone generator and that's all I have. Plus I have this conception that I can just "crack the beans" put them in a moist towel in a hot place for a day or two, then put them in like the soil cubes and put them under the light for a coule days till they're big enough to go in the buckets where I will fill it with 50 gallons of water and the proper nutrient profile and then just continue that for vegging(about 3-4 weeks)... Then pick out the males with the bannana's(I'm not sure i would even be able to identify that correctly yet)... then switch to 12/12 light cycles for 8 weeks of flowering all the while running my 15K BTU A/C on full blast as well as my ozone generator and assuming everything will be ok and voila, I'll have about 4oz per plant when I'm done...
Yea obv I'm a total NEWB and know nothing, but I figure no one really learns how to do it exactly until they acutally do it so that's the step I'm on...
