apollo haze

ok here's Apollo Haze i got going from my own breeding over the years. The Apollo came from rez and was one of the first Apollo mix packs he put out. I crossed a female and male from there. then the haze is from jlp, c99 x amnezia haze i call cindy haze, but alot of growers here call it amnezia99 i think. I did this breeding a few years ago and I'm just now growing them out. i have 4 growing now, 2 in flower just recently and 2 more in veg. It looks like all female so far and nice angular branching, an Apollo trait.

The first one I may have put in flower too soon, before she was big enough, because earlier plants were too big and grew too big, so I a may have over compensated. I got clones, so no worries.

I'm glad I'm not talking to myself. I do enough of that already!

I'm ready to put another apollo haze into flower, she is big and bushy! Definitely female.

looking good.

apollo haze, it's a girl.

She has never been topped, I'll take a clone from the lowest bottom branches.

2 in flower.

2 in flower.

here's 2 in flower already. The first may have been a little small, but she's making a valiant effort to reach the lights. That's why I let this last one get pretty big.

Anyone who has smoked apollo knows it is well worth the effort.
Well, thanks for stopping in and it's off to my other plants.

ulysses and bean, thanks for stopping by and glad to see fellow apollo lovers out there.

Now i have all 4 going good. I thought I might lose one, but she eventually took root. That's right all 4 female for sure. The girl that's been in flower the longest has some nice buds forming and I can already see the crystal starting to form, going half way down the narrow sativa leafs. Looking frosty already is a very good sign. This is the bushiest plant I've grown since apollo bubble, which was apollo crossed to bubbleberry(no more beans, :puppydoge ) No topping has ever been done to any of these AH ladies, but from what I remember the grandmother grew horizontal after topping and then every other branch would grow vertical and the other would branch horizontal 45 degrees and start again. Amazing bushiness.

Here's the first in flower, 2-3 weeks:

last one

Last girl AH still in veg under HPS now, started under floros. I transplanted her too tall into the waterfarm bucket, but she's a survivor. Basically like the other 3, but slight differences are starting to show in flower, so I'm cloning all of them from the bottom. The last thing I'm gonna do now is top these fine ladies. I take the 2 lowest branches as clones right at the main stem that are long enough, and also cut any little stuff that won't amount to anything. the clones I've taken so far have rooted easily and are probably ready to go in buckets, but I have too much in front of them.

Looking good so far, thanks for stopping by.

You pretty much said it right there. Nice plants! I grew out JLP's c99 haze as well and was blown away with what i got. Too bad i wasn't able to keep any clones of her or chances are I'd still be growing it today.

I got some apollo 11 drying right now and the preliminary taste tests are very good.

I'll tag this one and follow along for the ride...

great looking plants, and the strain sounds tasty as all hell. with c99 in its lineage, i bet it just packs on the buds over the last couple weeks. i'm definitely pulling up a chair on this grow :joint:

by the way, if any of these are getting seeded, let me know. i'd love to get my hands on some tasty genetics like that

killabrown: glad to hear there are apollo growers besides me. Feel free to post pics of your apollo11 here, I'd love to see how the buds look. I've still got a few cindy haze crosses left for future grows.

Yek: c99, amnezia haze, apollo and unknown apollo because I started with an apollo mix from rez I bought at seedsdirect and crossed a male and female from that and then crossed a male from there with 3 females and also hit one of those females with the cindy haze dust, confusing, I know, but that's why I label the plants and beans. Anyway, the point I was trying to make before I went on durban skunk inspired ramble was that i have future breeding plans involving 2 apollo inbred, mississippi mud, wonder diesel. But not for several months at the earliest, I still have plenty of different beans, but only a few of each.

Nice project you got going here, deZerTomB! :D I'm an Apollo lover from way back. Bought Grimm original stock and made F2's. Plan on doing a big grow of them next fall, it's been too long. I also have a pack of Rez's Apollo Trip, which I plan on growing out and breeding into my F2 selections.Should be fun, but til then I'll have to be content oggling your work! Keep 'em green! :lurk:

well, deZerT, that is quite the lineage there. not a dull strain to be found and all potent, heavy yeilders. one of these days when i get the time and the space, i'll start my own breeding laboratory. I love trying different strains of pot, like different wines. While pink wine in a box will do the deed (get you drunk) nothings better than a smooth, aged Cabernet Sauvignon, if you know what i mean.

all in due time though, first i gotta finish my current grow and move to a new apartment. i've got TONS of great ideas though :joint:

yeknmossa: that's the beauty of growing your own weed, you control the variety. Even though I love good pot, sometimes I get sick of the same old weed, and need a change. Tolerance is the issue here I suppose. :rasta:

highliter: Glad to meet another apollo breeder! Original Brother Grimm is impressive! I'm using Rez's apollo mix. I crossed 2 from there then with those, inbred 1 male to 3 females, and some other females. I've still got so many different little packs of seeds and got a bunch of deisel X durban skunk hermie plant by accident. I'll probably give most of those away to an outdoor grower I know. I count 16 different kinds of beans I can grow out, but right now I want to find a keeper from the 4 different apollo hazes. These were one of those 3 apollo females hit with a cindy haze male which was from jlp c99 X amnezia haze . Anyway from what I remember which is hazy these daze. Time for another bong hit, by golly.

Oh yeah, here's some more pics:

Looking good and frosty. Perfect for a sea of green with no topping or grooming whatsoever. Cloning so far has been a piece of cake, with so many shoots to choose from on the bottom of the plant. These 4 were put in flower on a staggered timeline about a week or 2 apart as part of my perpetual grow. The furthest along is maybe 6 weeks and I'm planning another 4 weeks before harvest, but may leapfrog it over another if she's done sooner. :lurk:

OK I got all 4 in flower and they are all looking good. The slight variations are starting to show up more now. The first one I put in flower was apollo haze #3 and she is a crystal producing mamma. She looks more hazey to me because the way the crystal builds up on the edge of the leaf. Early lead for my favorite and because she was the first in flower, she must be the fastest grower and therefore the most vigor of the batch, always a positive trait. Also she looks about ready at 2 months, so a fast finisher for a nice bushy indoor sativa. Perfect for small or sea of green indoor grows. :rasta:

lousy photographer

I took the pics after the lights went out, so maybe I'll actually get focused soon.

Anyway, here's the other 2 ladies, one has denser buds so far, otherwise pretty similar.

They still have a little ways to go, but #3 rules the roost so far.

Here's the last female of this bunch, she's been in flower only a couple weeks and will be the biggest.

Then here's a group shot of #3 and #4.

Better pics to come. :joint:
