how many tsp of big bud per gallon??

howdy.

sorry, probably the wrong forum but i need an answer pdq. the bottle says to use 1 tsp per quart so 4 tsp per gallon. is that an ok dose for soil grows?? any idea? i did the google thing and searched here and didn't find anything.

i'm halfway through flower, went shopping and found some in the local hydro store. nice!

i used to use it years ago but can't remember how much i used.

its totally organic , you can use alot with out ill effects, I think 2 table spoons per gallon is pleanty.

I wouldn't use what the bottle recommends. They always increase the dose cuz they want to make money. Use like half and you should be fine. I've done this in my ebb and flow and it has worked great.

i personally use 1 tsp per half gallon which would be 2 tsp per gallon which is half of what they recommend. after reading this i think i will up it to 1 and 1/2 tsp because on the plant i used bb from the begining it has huge colas. ps i also use overdrive which seems to work nicely also.

thank you for the replys. it looks like we are all over the charts on this one. the 4 tsp per gallon made me nervous so i decided to go with 3/4 strength and see what happens. i wish i had all my formulas etc from when i was an AN proponent. my computer melted down and i lost a ton of info.

AN is great stuff but i couldn't get it locally and didn't like the mail. now a local hydro store carries about 1/4 of their products. not bad. it appears they took the "hi, i grow marijuana" off the labels. smart move as that nonsence put me off on the product too.

i fed them last night and they look fine this morning. i'll do 2/3 strength one more time then up it too full per the bottle's recommendations if things look good. i wish i still had the picture of my 12 or so AN products lined up. it would take me a freaking hour to get all nutes into the buckets. now i use 3 products.

let's see if i can load a current pic of my apollo 11 F2s and bubble gum closet. i have a dail up and use a proxy. it's a bitch to load pics.

I did a little experment with the big bud. I have a 13 gl rez i hand water out of, after reading a Jdog thread where he said you could not burn your plants with bb . I put 2 cups in my rez and watered as normal, dident hurt them one bit, I dont make a practice of this because its so expensive, but i do use 2 table spoons per gl. Now tiger bloom is another story, use as recomended or less.

I'm using only Advanced Nutrients products and am on day 40 of flowering with my Big Bud and Blueberry plants. Grizz, I'm thankful for your input on the experiment; I've been worrying about putting too much at this late stage of the game. It's just my 2 cents but I don't think A.N. would have you screw up your plants to gain a few cents; I just can't see them risking their reputation for that. They make awesome products - the best in my opinion - but pricey for sure. Based on their reccommendations and the assurance from Grizz, I would use the full dose. Best of luck!

Fatboy, maybe as an OG refugee you may remember this. Is Big Bud the same thing some peeps on OG were using that was unavailable in the US? I know there was some additive that some people were using (lothar comes to mind for some reason) that was possibly dangerous and banned in some areas

Big Bud, Monster Bloom ect ect... is for the most part nothing more than 0-50-30.

Most mfg's of 0-50-30 recommend about 1tsp per 4 gallons.

Thats what I thought too hydro rascal, but its actually rated for 1-0-2 or 0-1-2 I forget. It definitely seems to add some weight.

no this isn't the stuff. big bud has a great reputation and i used it for about 2 years with great results. i don't recall this high a dosage per gallon though. as long as it doesn't hurt them i'm cool. the hydro store is only a couple miles away.
