52 Watt CFL Rubbermaid Grow

Another small update, well the plants have been getting bigger and have been frosting nicely. It is very cool to see 4 different plants that have totally different traits with each other. I can't wait to try every single one of these plants once they are done Anyways I took some pics yesterday to show the progress of each plant. I need to get a microscope soon from radio shack so I can see when these might finish. I am guessing 2 of them might be finishing ealier than the other 2 maybe in 2-3 weeks, but will see. I bent one of the plants kind of like an "s" shape, because it was just getting to tall. I also have a small deficiency on 2 of the plants, I think its a calcium def. I am thinking about getting some cal-mag, because I heard some people saying that you will need it when using fox farm nutes. Anyways enough of me talking enjoy the pics

Nice man! I have also one box that is now empty and I'll be getting some Hashberry very soon so I might pop some seeds and put under 138watt CFL. Keep us updated!

Well new update I just harvested one of the plants. It just got really sick and It was almost finishing so I just chopped it a little early. I had a really big problem with syphillids and that is why some of my plants have the spots all over it. Also one of my plants started to turn purple which was really weird but cool. Anyways enjoy the pics

I chopped that one down at 74 days of 12/12. It probably could of gone a few more days longer but i just decided to chop it cause it was so badly injured from when I got the syphillids. It was chopped when I saw 80% cloudy, 15% clear, and 5% amber. The one in the 2 liter is the one I am really waiting for, it looks really crystally and smells super fruity. I think it will yield the most out of all of them. I should be cutting it down some time this week. I will update you all once the next harvest comes.

How many watts did you end up using in the end?

I will definitely let you guys all know on my final total dry weight for each one and also give you guys a smoke report. That purple one is just the weirdest plant and I trained it in such a weird way, but surprisingly it looks really good and its starting to fatten up. I ended up with a total of 120 watts (3 x 40watt bulbs).

My next go around should be alot better with some og kush, sour diesel, white widow and some really good bagseed that I found. I will also be using a different cab which will be bigger and also have a 150watt hps running in it. I might possibly even add some cfl's just to add more lighting but will see. So stay tuned for the next grow

I decided to chop another one early cause it was just too smelly and i was getting real paranoid. So i just decided its better to be safe than sorry. It probably could of gone another few days longer but oh well. Enjoy the pics

my little 14 gallon pumping out 30 watts nice little starter box

don't waste your money on paint. it won't stick I tried a ton of different paints this week including plastic paint. tried sanded and unsanded too

1 can all purpose spray adhesive and some insulation foil bubble warp and your ready to go

skip the spray adhesive and get Reflectix insulation from Lowes or HD, it has adhesive already. love the starter box though, looks much better than mine.

HerbGlaze - Yup one more plant left and it is frosting up alot more than the other ones. It is also fattining up real nicely, so I cant wait till it finishes. On the last plant I just harvested I am guessing I will get a little over an ounce. And on the other plant I got around 13g.

the_man - Wow nice looking rubbermaid you got there. I like how you used flouro tubes instead of cfl's I was about to do the same thing. Yeah i never decided to paint the inside of it I just went and got an emergency blanket and covered the whole inside.

I am currently using a 20 gallon rubbermaid. I am using brer blackstrap molasses, fox farm big bloom and tiger bloom. Thanks man, stay tuned for my next grow
