Hey there ICMag, just dropping in for another quick update. The males have started dropping pollen over the last 2 days. Collected 2.2 grams the first night and 4.9 grams yesterday so have over 1/4 oz of pollen and am just getting started. Half the males have not even started dropping yet. I still have the 3 females in another tent so they can grow those pistils before the males have at them. I am running out of room in the 2x4. One female has grown taller than the lights but is between the 2 lights so all good. I pulled a second one over a bit so it isn't growing against the light. Don't want to damage that main cola. So here are some pics.

getting ready for Turkey , I dont think you Canads celebrate , but man Turkey is delicious.
Thanks for all you do .
We sure do celebrate Thanksgiving but ours was a while back. Our first Thanksgiving was in Nuvanut in Canada in 1578 and is cebrated in October while the American version happened in Plymouth 43 years later in 1621.

Hey there ICMag. Just dropping in for another update. Plants are doing well. The males are getting a bit beat up at this point, lol, but that's just my pollen collection. As of last night I have collected 52.9 grams and they are not done yet. Collecting daily and got 8.2 grams last night.

The 3 females are doing fine and still segregated. I started leaving the tents open a few days ago when collecting and the are getting nice and pollinated now.

Hi Doug, whats your technique to catch the pollen? Asking for a friend😂
It's simple really. I take a large metal salad bowl and grab each branch. Lean the branch over the bowl and tap/bang the branch against the bowl. Make sure you turn off all fans in the room prior to doing this. Repeat for each branch and you end up with this.

Now take that material and put it in a pollen shaker a few inches deep and shake the shaker. I like to bang it on my hand as I shake which drops the pollen through the screen and it collects in the bottom.

After that is done you are left with nice clean pollen and no plant material.

This is just over 50 grams of BOG Blue Moon Rocks pollen.

Thanks..the shakers a great idea. Never thought of it. Cheers, stiffy
I just love mine. They are $15 in the USA, $50 in Canada. They really gouge us here. Was only $35 when I bought it. But it's really so useful for collecting pollen that I would even pay the $50 if mine broke somehow. The bottom compartment holds the clean pollen until you dump it out making it super easy and keeps from making a big mess.

Hey ICMag, so things just keep getting better. So let's start with the males.

I did some pollen collection last night after skipping it the day before and darned if they didn't have something for me. So, here is the pollen collection.

So that's 10.2 grams tonight bringing our total to 75.2 grams. Guess the males will live to give another day.

Now on to the females.

Hey there ICMag, just dropping in for a quick update. Culled all the males and moved the females into my 5x5. They were very cramped in the 2x4. They need some support as they were being held up by the walls of the tent so as soon as I moved them many of their branches wanted to just flop over. No big deal, some zip ties and yoyos sorted them out. Tons of seeds showing so it looks like there will he a good harvest in the end. Here they are when I watered last night. They have frosted up nicely.

Hey there ICMag. Been a bit absent due to a round of Covid but back to normal now. Plants took a bit of abuse while I was sick but survived ok. Buds have frosted up nicely.

Decided to pull 2 buds to see what's what.

So here is the result.

Looks like 178 decent beans from the 2 buds. Going to leave them up for another week or 2 just to let the beans mature more bit should be a good harvest in the end. Have a great day ICMag.
