A Guide to Fishsticks

Spent the day replacing my water pump, thermostat, tensioner pully and some kind of necked thing on my truck. I also removed the alternator and ordered another one. Then had to get my wife's car checked out. It needs some kind of throttle sensor that is $343 plus labor.

I am still under the cost of one of Uncs back tires with a cassette. But neither my truck or her car sounds like angry hornets. Kind of a bummer but he they are gas guzzlers not bikes.

how much did that cost at your parts place? i think mine might be going bad...:dunno:
It was the piece that goes over the thermostat and was $4 with gasket. The water pump was a rebuild pump and with seal was $14. The tensioner pully assembly and belt was $90. The thermostat was $5. The alternator is $54. I got them all at Rock Auto with shipping costing another $28. But that is with other parts I will use latter.

I also ordered a upper and lower radiator hose with the alternator for $29 for both. Shipping was added to the alternator and the throttle body piece I ordered for my wife's car. Shipping for those parts was I think $35. But that includes some wipers for my two trucks and the wife's car also.

:tumbleweed: mornin campers...sounds like you're using a lot of cheap junk parts on your car...i bet they aren't even purple! heck, there's single bolts on my bikes that cost 45 bucks! probably not a single grossly overpriced titanium widget anywhere!
more errands to run today, and some up-pots to deal with when i get back from the grow store...and about an oz or so of trimming left to do...

Well since most car parts are made in China you are probably right.
