Wizard Island, that's the name I used for these seeds gifted years ago from a friend. They should be CheechWizard F(?). I found a couple of interesting phenos. It has a strange aroma, seems to be musky, wet, kushy also a bit annoying but it has a good thing: aroma stays till the end of the joint, that's a very good sign of a good weed. Downside is flowering time: the pheno I like could take to 100 days for a full ripe and it's also a low yielder...and not only, it's also slow growing.

WI #1 hydro grown at 75 days approx.

Closing this update with Rhyan #5, one of the two phenotypes of this strain I kept with me. I'm not sure I will keep in the future, it's not very stable as varying temperature its flowering time can decrease to 45-50 days being a low yielder. Resin coverage is very nice, aroma it's not that great as to talk about it. It's a good plant to grow during summer and high temps. Will not go over 70 days without being fluffy.

RH #5 hydro grown at 55 days (crispy leaves are due to flushing)

I also think he is buying sugar kinda cheap, since he seems to be spreading so much of it over the plants!

Thanks guys, roots not always grow like that and at the end it does not suppose a big difference in yield or whatever for what I see. I say I want flowers, not roots. Any energies spent for more roots than needed it's "wasted" energy in a plant. don't you think?
Overall my yield it's not that great, I would say it's average. With a good yielder pheno I usually not go over half K with a single 660W lamp for 60days approx. Talking with other growers I would say it's an average yielding.

On the other side I'm happy with my hydro setup, I can grow without a chiller even with some hot temps. (I mean the recirculating one). No need to timing anything, water pump is always on. This info can be useful to some hydro noobs dealing with timing, please remember that watering can also stay on all the time if there is enough oxygen in the water.
To keep higher level of oxygen in the water, especially with hot temps, I use RO water mixed with a little of tap and most important I use a low dose fertilizers. That's all, no acids, no booster, no to anything else.
Having only a low dose of ferts. in the water ensure the maximum level of dissolved oxygen in the solution. When I talk about a low dose I mean a total of 0,6 - 0,8 mS/cm starting with a water at 0,1- 0,2 mS/cm. This level is ok for the whole flowering, no need to adjust it.
During the flowering time I only make a couple of reservoir changes, ensure to not really clean it using with just tap water and no soap or oxidizing agents to keep bacteria in the system. All the time I add RO water and if pH goes below the 6 I just add some more tap.

Keep it simple seems to me to be the best way to choose, other than that I learned that flushing is really important, so I try use only RO water for the last 20 days or depending on the plants. No need to adjust pH in this last phase.

I still have a couple of DosiTree by Archive Seeds. Not so happy with this strain, hermies, leafy, not very stable. Flowering time can reduce to 45 days with some cold nights and yield obviously it's not so good. Wait to smoke both again to see if worths to keep them anymore. Terps didn't impress me too much but there is an hint of something good. Will post my impression in some time.

Dosi Tree #6 (this one seems to me a little freaky)

Sorbet a l'Orange by Aficionado - When I have it to smoke I get pissed off by how much it stinks. Once it's finished I miss it. Not so good looking, not so frosty but fuck its smell and aroma are impressive. To keep it simple it's like to drink a Fanta. Most probably the strongest terps I have in my stock. I prefer to smoke just trimmed leaves of this plant compared to many other flowers poor in terps. It's something like Tangie, but a little different.

Rhyan BX #7 is one of the two pheno I still keep of this strain. Frosty and strong kushy smell. Nothing new or too impressive btw but it probably worths to be a keeper for now. For those interested in this strain and what you can expect...well you will not be disappointed if you're searching for frosty buds. Smell...mainly kush, the same smell shared by a lot of strains noways. If lucky enough you can find a good smelly one. Flowering time is approx. 60 days from the switch. Few intersexual traits (nanners), nothing to really worry about. Not really sure about it but trichomes seem to have an elongated stem compared to other plants (will try to take few macros). On the yield side well it's not the best but it's not bad. Let's say average.

Rhyan #7 macros - Few words about trichomes: sometimes a bud looks really frosty but looking better with a microscope or taking a macro it's easy to see trichomes have elongated stems. Rhyan is one of these strains. I mean...for sure it's frosty and has enough resin on it, but a lot of its nice bag appeal comes from the stems, not from the glands. What does it mean? Well...try to make a clean hash from this kind of flowers and the yield will be ridiculous, as the glands will fall but the stems will stay on the plant...meaning poor yielding. Even if it seems a good hash-maker at the end of the day it's not. Having a look with a microscope it's always a good idea to have an idea of what tricks looks like.
