Ideal Traits in Blueberry Lines

Hola,

I have a few Blueberry lines going that I made.

Two males from my same line, Blueberry Parfume, and Im wondering about theur purple stems

Ive found lines that are super purple, like Blackberry, to be subpar, and Im wondering if that also translates with DJ's work

One male is green stemmed with red/purple stripes, and the other male is purely purple stemmed

Chem 91 and BB are my favorite lines for that reason

I made BB Muffin a few years ago, isolating the BB Muffin top pheno.

Also made BB Pie - smells and taste like a homemade pie with blueberries

BB parfume is the most delicate/feminine of my lines I made

Blue Rhino, 98 BB, another BB, and two Blue Dreams (NH and SSH versions), then inbred them

Thanks for the tip on the Chem 91, I had no idea it was similar like that. It's a variety I've always steered clear of having thought it was just some potent variety with little to no heart chakra vibes going on. That opens up a lot of seedlines that originally would have otherwise been passed over. Appreciate you for sharing that!

There was some Blueberry Muffin going around back in the day from some Dutch Passion seeds (s1's of Dutch Passion seeds) and to this day it's one of the few that set the benchmark of quality in so many regards. I'm passionate to find that again! Searched some DJ gear and didn't quite find it, great heart chakra stuff but not so much blueberry muffin aromatics. DJ's stuff, while not aromatic in the muffin mix ways, is lovely in it's own regard. Excellent quality, and unique in of itself. Different, but good.

Yeah, i was given some Chem 91 SkVa grown by BobHemphill and it was one of the most euphoric, irie, heart chakra smokes.
A true gift.
Theres a lot of fake '91 out there. But the real deal is something absolutely special

As far as Dutch Passion, i wanna say they got a couple of DJ's parents when he was with them.

I hear DJ lost his breeding parents and has been breeding with his f4 stock, so its hard to find the old 90's BB in his stuff these days.

As far as testing - I dont test.
Its funny, testing started gaining traction around 2015 and suddenly people felt that you can't call yourself a breeder if you dont test. I guess they forgot about Brotherhood of Eternal Love, DJ, Sam, Bodhi, etc.
In fact, Ive found these newer breeders who rely completely on testing churn out stuff thats not enjoyable to smoke.
To me, real breeding is a subtle mix of art, science, and spirituality

Once I made waves on the boards, people started paying attention to thcv.
I prolly coulda cashed in, but I wanted otherz to take part in the process.

There were no labs until 2008, but I can assure you that with our own in-house lab (GC-Fid & HPLC) we had developed a THCVA variety long before that, it was very high in THCVA, with very little other Cannabinoids, when it was smoked everyone said they did not get high. I agreed. THCVA does have medical applications, without a doubt, as for THCVA being recreational try a THCV variety that has very little THCA in it and I suspect you will be disappointed, I have 100% pure THCV analytical standards and when you puff it you do not get high. I had my first pure THCV about 20 years ago, when I tried all of the Cannabinoids alone by themselves and found that THCA is what gets you high, none of the other Cannabinoids made directly by the plant do get you high, this was prior to the discovery of THCB & THCP, which I have never tried. THCB is reportedly stronger than THCA when smoked but as no human has smoked it at this point it is speculation. I would try it if I had it. Also I admit that 100% pure THC or THCA is not as good or strong as THC with the right terpenes, a fact we discovered when we vaped 100% pure THCA and then smoked 60% THCA that was rich in terpenes, and we found it to be stronger than the 100% pure THCA when vaped in equal weights of 25mg. The 60% THCA was cleaned up resin heads rich in terpenes. That is what put us on the trail of the terpenes as a way to modify THC and some terpenes to potentiate THC. This was 20+ years ago. I am still looking for THCP so I can try it either 100% pure or in herbal Cannabis, same with THCP but I suspect it will not be as strong as THC, or THCP.

I have limited experience but purple stems seem like they are just a phenotype. Some people think it’s a deficiency. I’ve had siblings with purple, green and red stems, not blueberry, but they seem to grow the same. Purple calyx by itself seems like a simple recessive trait, no problem there if you like purp bud - I find it is associated with a floral smell and a calming effect.
I think purple all over like purple basil could be considered a weakness because the plant dedicates a lot of resources to making pigment and that coloring slows metabolism. A lot of plants get purple when they are too hot with not enough water - can’t use all that sun. The stem itself I think doesn’t tell you much.

No need to preach to me. We've talked talked and you're aware of me.
And we've all known about the entourage effect for decades.
I dont agree about only thca getting you high.
Every psychedelic plant has mutiple alkaloids and secondary metabolotes for a reason.
For example, eat raw mushrooms and your liver converts psilcybin into psilocyn. But pregist it in organic acid and it converts it all to psilocin. Or, take an MAOi with the raw mushroom and now youre high from psilocin And DMT.


Yeah, there were labs before 2008, but just not available to recreational growers.

The labs I pulled in my research were from DEA from 1950s-1980s.
Meao Thai was the highest testing variety for THCV. Pakistani was #2 I think

This reminds me of the 93/94 Buffalo Blueberry from Buffalo NY.
Im still looking for that cut, btw.
I used to get flowers of that from a Sicilian family in Syracuse while I was going to college in the area.
Super euphoric and I wrote a lot of peoples' thesis papers in college smoking that cut.

i personally recommend large selections looking for sweet terp profiles and resin production ................and then smoke testing from there with the sweetest females...................what good a blueberry that has no sweetness ?.,...........i like the tall sativa phenos personally ...............but usually only find them in large selections .......not much chance in a 10 pack
