Would a flashlight possibly hermi your flowering, or vegging, plants while working on them at night?

Hello
In my opinion it`s impossible but who knows.. The flashlight`s light intensity is too low to make herm... But when growing near street lights they may change into a herm
It`s obvious
cheers

Why not use a green-glass bulb as they do in some commercial indoor garden set-ups? I have them installed in my cabinet, and have never had a problem.

Yes I was thinking about a green bulb, but Im not really sure where to find a true green bulb for a flashlight.

It's easier to pick up a green lens for your flashlight then it is a green bulb. Also, you might want to look into LED flashlights. They came in all colors for commercial work. And green LEDs are available at any electronics supply store, so you could possibly switch out LEDs in a light of a different color.

Hmmmmm. In my experience...Light leaks and such dont cause herms...Bad breeding and poor genetics are where all of my herms have come from:confused:..If we can leave the lights on for a coupple of extra hours without triggering bloom or a herm, I doubt a flash light will hurt..they never have done anything to my plants..indoor or out. Ive even slipped up in my lights or the timer shit on me and the lights went 24/0 in the middle of bloom. Nothing ever happened....

I disagree, A flashlight isn't enough to wake them up...especially if its being moved allover the place, like a headlamp...The moon doesent trigger em, and she is quite bright...

last year this was not true not one seed did i get and the security light were on and off all the time and i was checking them for bugs at night with torch (backyard grow)
may be genetics (bubblegum and ruderalis indica) but i reckon its because the plants were used to it considering it happened every night from start to finish

Yeah, if yer gonna be standing over the plant holding the light all night....and if the flash light was a flood lamp....

Simply working around yer plants with a small headlamp WILLNOT trigger them to bloom, veg or herm....

Come on people, think about this for a minute. A flash going off is not nearly as bright as a nearby nighttime flash of lightning.

How about a cloudless night with a full moon, that's pretty bright.

Short, intermittent bright light will have no effect. A small amount of continuous light will have no effect.

It takes significant, sustained long term light to force a plant to herm. If a little bit of light was all it took, everyone here would be growing hermies as I am sure everyone of us at one point or another has leaked light into flowering room.

yes i am sure of what i say its from experience and not some crap i heard somewhere...light interruption in lights out and how if it dont hermie your crop it slows down the finishing time...sure of myself on this...MY BAD I DIDDNT RELIZE I WAS IN THE OUTDOORS SECTION...OUTDOOR PLANTS CAN TOLERATE MUCH MORE THAN INDOORS...MY APOLOGYS
