Yeah bud really not worth it mate, very simple to do but can guarentee yourself a bust when meter man does there inspections. A excessivly high power bill does not ring alarm bells at the local power company as people do all types of different things with there power and all have the right to do so. But doing something like this will guarentee you a knock on the door by the 5-0.

I don't condone theft of power...and if you do hot wire you are asking for it!
However, depending on your type of meter (if it has the spinning wheel) there are certain hyd shops in Melb and Adl that sell a very powerful magnet that stops the wheel from spinning..
I know a few people in Adl who swear by these things (I have never used one and no i won't tell u where to get one - u will have to try the shops yourself) - they put them on as soon as they have their electricity bill..leave it on for 2 months..then take it off...you then only pay for one months use...lot safer than a hotwire as there are no mods to wiring..
if u do insist to do a hotwire, use a relay box. Hyd shops sell them too. What it does is plug into the wall, and has a relay switch into it. Street mains are wired into the box..the box has a powercord which u plug into a household powerpoint via a timer..therefore, it only steals when the power to the premises is switched on at the meter, and that too only when the timer turns on the relay...most power companies when they suspect theft, they turn off your power at meter and see if current is still flowing from street to premises..now if u use this type of relay, as soon as they turn off your meter, the relay switches off, the theft stops too..so a further investigation of your wiring can possibly be avoided..its not 100% foolproof however and power companies also have other ways to determine that you are stealing...
Now just a word of advice...DO NOT STEAL POWER..PAY YOUR BILLS!!!...If you get caught stealing power its gonna increase your chances of doing time by 10 fold i would think....

Mate your saving money by growing and smoking your own shit and you probably sell it here and there to some buddies, so hence you should be saving money, i dont understand why would someone want to steal power? since i started growing, im saving 100 dollars a week as im not buying off the street anymore etc.

most of the major busts over the last couple of years, around where i live, have been from growers fucking with the electricity and fucking it up. resulting in the place catching on fire and the fire brigade comming. and then the cops comming. and then jail time comming. ... wouldnt recomend it.

Nationality shouldn't make any difference what so ever....... but they are flooding the market with commercial grade chem weed! Concerning the size of some of their setups..... I must admit, for little guys, they do have big balls. And the strange part is they don't seem to give a shit regarding the law...... they're getting busted left, right, and center...... the gaols are full of them.
