It was a seed lot that a member Wesos got from oregon kid a bit after he released the bubba and the ghost og. There is lots of trash talking about og and has been for a long time. I was the third person to rec the ghost cut and had it for almost ten years got it from ghost himself shortly after he rec it. This is the real deal for sure, prob going to be lots of controversy but it is what it is. This is def the real deal og.
No issue or debating that bit of things - however, I'm still curious, if it was a clone made into an IBL - then what was it originally outcrossed to for the breeding work?

is a bit sketchy for sure. It was said to be femd seed and a male came out of them. I don’t know the details all I know is the ogers kush lines that have been passed around are basically the ghost line and most all females carry those same complex flavors and high as the original clone. I’ve grown three diff batches and they are all extremely kushy.. some yield better but I have found no straight up duds.. it’s a killer line. Wesos and stash preserved and shared these with many people over the years. I’ve been lucky to have been on the list. I may grow 100 and see what I get for shits and giggles. I’m sure there are super plants in them
I've seen the male from a femmed line before, so even that doesn't sketch me. Was just curious. Nice to see a tightly held/sourced line resurface.

2 years ago I acquired orgnkids last pack of original 20 year old Ogers. First two seeds didn't grow. Treated the 3rd seed with diluted hydrogen peroxide bath to add oxygen to embryo and added a little bit of rooting hormone. Poof! The seed grew and...I got a male! I also have his last pack of original Bubba S1 created from the orignal Bubba cut. Have become good friends with Orgnkid since and have now acquired the verified original ghost female cut and a King Louise toboot direct from him. Just got 6 brand spankin' new lights from the ChilLED Tech Growcraft line X6-600's and also have an Anden dehu on the way. Both companies have agreed to sponsor our #TheOGKushProject ! We are building a very special breeding room just for the project! To do this correctly I felt the original Ghost cut must be included in the first pollination. So I waited almost an entire year to do anything with him. Finally the moment has arrived as we begin construction! I am licensed commercially btw both grow and dispensary. On a side note...some lower branches in the shade on a few different moms in my greenhouse started throwing flowers as we transitioned from winter along with four large bushes of the male Ogers and I just might have harvested a bunch of surprise, accidental Ogers crosses this week ????

We have the same OG cut I’m assuming. I know Josh gave it back to kid when he came back on the scene. I’m really REALLY interested in this male you got thought.Have you flowered it out yet? What’s the morphology of it once the flowers are fully set? Start a thread and I’ll be following

Our ogers kush seed are originally from oregon kid way back and has been preserved for all these years. This cultivar is indeed an ibl. I was one of the first 5 folks to rec the ghost cut and am the one that initially to call it the ghost cut as that is whom I got it from..

When he first came in the scene many of us thought he was full of shit that he had the best of the best. I’ve eaten my words bout those first encounters for sure. It is some of the best herb on the planet. Thanks oregon kid

Yes, I flowered him out last year and collected a vile of pollen. The male clone of my original seed start threw 3's just like the Ghost female until he got bigger when he started throwing 5's which is interesting. Flower structure is not particularly tight, but lots of flowers develop with lots of golden magical pixie dust. Last night I shook 3 of them putting out pollen over several flowering plants (most keepers I have bred) that used to be mother's. Here is a pic of the seed I've collected so far. These seeds are not part of the official #TheOGKushProject as they are the result of a very welcomed accidental pollination. I'm getting several of them wet today and will flower small to see if we have fems or regs.

I couldn't agree more. To this day Ghost is still my all time favorite strain hands down. I never could have dreamed in my wildest dreams that all of this would be happening. I grew up in Phoenix, AZ just 6 hours away from LA where it was all going down. 20 years later this magical little bean made it into my hands and I couldn't feel more blessed. I consider Orgnkid to be a true friend and I owe it all to him. This is a new chapter in the OG story happening right now! Very cool you preserved the line all those years ago. Wish us luck!
the flavors described are interesting, I recently grew some larry that was listed as sfvXghost, one was for sure a ghost pheno
the buds had the tiger balm chem thing going on while it was growing, one time in veg I bumped a fan leaf pulling it out of the tent and it was the gnarliest skunk smell I have ever had in a plant, it was so loud and skunky it was confusing at first
it didn't put off any lemon and definitely had a sweeter edge to it, I could see it being described as vanilla, and maybe like alfalfa or something, but there is also the earthy chem OG signature, it didn't seem as loud as the SFV pheno, but I have a feeling it actually is and it's just the sweeter nuances that make it seem like that, whenever I break up a nug and then go sit down and chill I'm like wtf is that and it's the smell of my fingertips, the tops looked like golfball tipped fists sticking up

Old post, I know....but just in case....have you thought/tried to reverse the male you got out of those seeds? The math holds up, I believe, in that if you reverse a male, you should get a certain (25% 50%?) amount of female (XX) offspring....seeing as males have XY chromosomes....just a thought.
I’ve been wanting to try this out myself....I’m sure others have done it, it’s just not posted much. A female selfing will give “only” XX (some “males” do pop up every now end then), but a selfed male should give you a true m/f population to work with.
