there are three things i wouldn't part with and one is my old eight foot 68' Design 1 made by Bunger surfboards and signed by Rodney Sumpter. $30.00 at a garage sale long ago and handled with care. it has gotten me out of some big heaves. "somebody go"

Yeah, I was talking from the top of the road where the little gardens and lookout are. Hiking DH crater is fun, we used to skirt up from the outside and hike the rim.

Ala Wai. I used to ride my bike over there from DH when I was younger and surf Ala Moana....bunch of great waves over there. My favorite spot on the south shore was Rice Bowls and I used to get my ass kicked at Castles way outside the Natatorium too when it got big.

Surfed bowls last time I was in Hawaii so many years ago. Nice left with a tube section, easy paddle out from the jetty, super crowded.

Waves have been good here, but it's starting to get cold and it's still a bit on the smaller side. The real deal long period winter swells will be here soon, so I've been trying to surf as much as I can to get into paddling shape.

Old thread revival here but just wondering what fellow surfers are doing during the covid19 crisis?

I broke my arm a week into lockdown but went for a swim in the sea today and can't promise when swell is looking good and I can pop up again I won't be in the there (I can walk to the beach)

i suggest ignorring the stupid rules and going out diving.

but be aware of the shark situation. the human sharks are much worse than the fish sharks. the human sharks take over at the hospital if a fish shark bites you.

We don't get man eating sharks here, the occasional thresher or a porbegal but I've never seen the personally.

Took a walk down the beach at the weekend and had a quick go on my Mrs board.. My arm still hurts when I push down on it.. I can paddle now though so not long to wait.
