it "does have" some parallel grooving along the left end radiating away from the edge which could indicate human handiwork, but...it COULD just be a rock too.:) how's that for a non-committed waffle response?

that square tip on the right side isn't natural, it was made. My guess would be for breaking open bones for marrow or to scrape hides. Trippy to think whose hands held it before mine...kinda like beans....

That first one? Just a piece of moon rock some alien probably ditched out the window with the galaxy police on his ass. That second one though... Man that looks like some top shelf space rock!

I recently found this point on the shoreline down the road.

I find this type of stuff walking the dirt roads around here.

I like to knap glass every once in a while.
I use tools I've found looking for artifacts along with antler and bone.
The two white ones are made from toilet tank porcelain.

What's that first one made out of Capt.Ahab? Looks similar to the sandstone around here, but I know that doesn't hold an edge well.

I think that sort of stuff is so cool. I've never found anything like that but my girl found an arrowhead digging in her yard and my stepdad found a very well crafted and intact spearhead while digging up trees at a nursery many years ago.

What's up with that?

Any whose, all of these rocks were found on my property but must have been brought in. They all have 1) a point and 2) a place for your thumb 3) and each rock is different.

Thanks for the excellent questions and contributions to this thread everyone! :tiphat:

Awesome. So many nice points Ahab and nice glass knapping too. Pretty amazing how sharp a flint can be. Ive skinned a few smaller critters with stone flints just for fun and a good flint is like a razor.
