Ayecarumba. The video tells the story. He was playing in a scrimmage for team USA in preparation for an upcoming tournament when the injury happened. Early reports suggest he'll be out of commission for 9 to 12 months. Video is definitely NOT for the squeamish, so consider yourself forewarned. The video shows the injury happen at real speed in the very beginning, then has about a minute of showing players and coaches reacting, then at the end of the video it shows the injury happen in slow mo.

Terrible injury to a great player, here's hoping he has as quick a recovery as is possible.

That was nasty. Brings to mind Nerlens Noel injuring his knee on the goalpost at Florida, and of Kevin Ware (UofL) in the NCAA a couple of years ago.

I see Kevin Durant decided to "take a step back", deciding to leave Team USA.
