We got a 6 month old puppy shipped up this summer from miss....she as abandoned with her litter eating out of trash.....now when we walk she has a horrid tendency to lunge at recycle bins...and puddles.
How can I slowly get that behavior disapated?

i think puddle splashing is one of life's few joys

i just reinforce good behavior with praise and when she does something bad, i say No sternly and shake my finger. for some reason when i give a word command that also has a hand signal she learns a lot quicker. probably should keep treats in your pocket so she pays attention to you and knows you have the food, not the bins. consistency, patience and time will teach your dog to be a happy dog.

keep dog treats with you, pull her away from those bins and offer her a treat instead. this way she may learn that what she gets from you is way better than the trashy stuff.

I´ve no idea really as I´m not a dog trainer but it´s worth a try :)

I've found a large dog group I'm gonna expose her to for 5-6 months then do treat based training. She's come so far already I love dogs. I'm gonna take a few pics of her the group today and share em here

I wouldn´t wait that long luv. the sooner you start training the better and the easier it will be for her to learn.

are they´re any dog schools in your area?
