    hmm,
actually i forgot that there was Evaporation not measured. So the Gases may, or may not contained the missing Thc...

I personally can imagine that and would rather choose a middle-strong Heat, since some People told the taste was very good that Way.
Probably thats the reason why so many people end up with a honestly badtasting Product, cause most (incliding me) used high heat.

So, as we know, Decarb works at different Temperatures, depending on Temperature chossen takes longer or shorter. look here:

Considering someone told he added Terpenes later on, and it was very suddenly good, i think you should decarb the lowest possible Temperature? probaby 4 Hours at 100C/200F ?

But look closer at the Chart, the longer its done, the lower Thc will anyway be reached, look at Lines, maximum of first line is 15 Thc, maximum of secound Line is only 14 Thc ! And so on.

I recall Thc degrades to Cbd over Time..? Caused by Temperatures..?

So the perfect Solution might be to decarb way faster?
But again, someone mentioned Terpenes did the Trick, and if it doesent Taste, it may also not effect right..
Good graph. First on the thread I can work with.

It says I could warm the oven, then switch it off and use it.
I have access to an oven thermometer still I think. One I can put in a pyrex bowl and still see it through the window. I think preheated pyrex might just need 5 mins with the oven on once the green is in. Then I can switch off for half hour. The oven might only drop to 100 in that time. Then I can remove the pyrex and stand to cool. Making my butter in it if that's the intention. Removing the need to stand over a boiler for hours as it's already done.

Oven stats generally keep the oven about 20c lower than you ask for on the dial. I have measured quite a few. The temperature control is quite tight though and if your green is in a container then you are well buffered.

Container might profit from lid inversion. As it cools, the inverted lid could be cooled to act as a condenser. Giving some condense to play with. Perhaps add back after the butter process, which seems to loose lots.

Our grows need carbon filters because lots off smell/taste comes off them at room temperature. Washing a bud also takes away a lot of taste, like most of it. This are simple observations you can make yourself. These findings are of much greater importance than what a guy in a lab says, when he's naming things that we can't associate a taste with anyway.

I reckon the oven is the way, but in a container who's internal temperature we can monitor. So a glass container and mechanical thermometer.

mighty interesting idea, maybe been mentioned before but I don't recall it
1 possible complication is loss of resin sticking to the bag
some tricks come to mind, curious how this turns out

    Sou Vide

    Good morning kids,

After test pressing my latest harvest and getting 1.1 grams out of 10.5 grams of La Confidential, I decided it's time.
The balance of Judy (I name them all Judy) is currently in a 2 gallon ziplock freezer bag, in a pot of water, with my Sou Vide holding the temperature at 180 degrees.
Judies scheduled to a full 90 minutes and has 20 to go.
From there we hit the press. I recently bought a 4 ton DabPress and I love it so far.
My plan is to make cannaoil for brownies and other stuff.
The rosin from my test press is amazing.
Can hardly wait to press the decarbed Judy.

    Vape on kids

Thanks O.G.Joe! That means this is not the breakdown of THC to CBN.. But important to know stuff can evaporate when heated in plain Air

    Yes, i recall this aswell.
So, by cooking on lower Temp, you change alot Thc to pretty effectless Cbn ? thats what still confuses me, alltho it is what i could interpret out this Chart.

Immersion circulator, you g to try a decarb with 3.5 grams and a couple of some acting spoons sealed in a vacuum bag

One question, does a water cure remove terpenes?

Latest literature I have seen shows a full decarb at 100*C for 4 hours. Thus, I just extract in butter over water that long, or longer. The water is way nasty, well beyond bath water. I vape the terps off before I make butter, but a way to get them off the flower and saved as a liquid, would be nice. They probably oxidize and change anyways.

This guy actually decarboxylates using water and cannabis sealed in vaccum bags.

The reason he does this is to save the Terps which normally escape when decarbing is done in a regular oven.

    He has also a video.

    Decarboxylation: Marijuana Alchemy

I tried this last year. This guy didn't mention the fact that the bag fills with CO2 and blows up and floats. I put weights on it i also became concerned about the pressure causing the bag to explode.
so i got a canning jar and filled it half full with broken up buds. i didn't let the water boil. The whole purpose was an attempt to keep the terps. i only heated it for an hour though.
The terpines do dissolve in H2O. I'm not sure about the water penetrating the trichomes though.
The company Ardent claims they can decarb bud at 100 F by uniformly heating it in a small bowl that looks like a coffee grinder. Customers give great reviews.
Lately I've been making tincture from trichomes. i use 50 ml amber bottles with a dropper. dissolve the trics in grain in a 4 oz canning jar. then let the solution set on top of frige for ~ 30 days with the lid partially open to let some of the grain evaporate. Ir to much evaporates the resin starts forming clumps on the jar. if diluted the solution turns milky white. my dropper gives .5 ml naturally I take 1ml or more. using finger hash is a bad idea. the stuff has a very nasty taste. Lately I've been using 5-10 grams per batch. 1 or 2 didn't do much.
A work in progress. i take this shit full strength because i want it to absorb through the inside of my mouth. i looked up different methods of drug administration. It turns out that most drugs will absorb through all the surfaces on the inside of your body. They specifically mentioned amphetamine sulfate ( its effectiveness depends on the acidity of your stomach. ( one company makes one with sugar in it that the kid puts in the side of his mouth till it dissolves. they also use CO2 somehow to increase effectiveness in skin patches. Libraries are useless anymore unless you have access to a good college one.

If cookin bags are still lined with aluminum, "I" wouldn't do it. As one that has been multiply metal poisoned(Really high aluminum readings, especially) we avoid aluminum.

Also, for less 'couchlock' and more 'up', would you decarb for less time?
