OK some updates. I'm currently at 23 day's flower and they are looking fantastic. I did a major trim job when entering flower but they have come back kicking, the whole room is flooded with green at the moment, another trim job will be necessary.

So far the majority of the strains are reacting perfectly to the system accept for the cheese, it's not that they are growing badly, the opposite actually but they defo don't fit into a my vertical setup. They are a very wide plant, more like a bush vs a Christmas tree which isn't great for my setup because they have a very large surface area at the top canopy, if they were under a 600w then we would be looking at the ideal setup.

I don't have any recent pics, I went up to the grow yesterday but I forgot my damn camera so you will have to have some earlier pics that I didn't get a chance to upload.

These pics were taken 12 days ago at 11 days flower, I must say that the plants have developed much better now with buds joining up and trich production in full swing. Some great aromas coming from all the plants.

Day 11 Flower...

Here is the cheese again after the trim job:

I'll get a better update up tomorrow evening. Right now I'm feeding them 2.1 EC at PH 6.2. They will get their first dose of PK 13/14 next Tuesday, I'm excited to see how they will react to that. All the plants are around 5 foot tall with very strong branching, they are sucking up all the nutes that I throw at 'em without any burn. I will bang the EC up to 2.3 next week to see how they react but that might be a bit over kill since I'll also be adding PK 13/14, I might just see how they react with 2.0EC + the PK 13/14.

Anyhow that's all I got for now, I'll get some proper updates up tomorrow.

Thanks again for popping in.

excellent progress HGO :D im astonded your grils arent yellowing at all from any heat stress what so ever your plants look to be what 3 maybe 4 inches max from the bulbs?

what setting you got them honeywells on?

as for food hi EC's should be ok as your feeding so much its flushing them at the same time :D i would just be careful like you said adding the PK and nutrient at suck hi levels... they sure seem to be loving it.....

that cheese looks like it would be better suited to a tree grow I.E. heath crusty 1 plant per 25sqft bulbs either side ect.....

pleased to see its all coming together anyway :pimp3:

Looking great HGO,that rhizo is the stuff, they seem fine indeed.
I start givin pk in small does at flip to help em get used to it,where as in the ole days id of blasted em 3 weeks from chop, lol.
I think that extra N has helped alot too.

Have to give vertical a go some time, ive been sayin that for a while now.
Id go even lower, let the pk do its stuff,it could well mess those buds up when ec is high already I dont go past 2.2,with pk13-14.
Im no guru though.
Up to you H.

On with the show.

Wow, looking good m8.
I was out looking for those exact same fans that ur using under the net. They were a bit pricey tho, around 90 dollars :/
Where a regular table fan would cost me 30.

Anyways, cant wait to see those ladies gain some weight :)

Hey bro, well I have got some light bleaching on the plants. There are a few thing's that I'll be doing differently next time around which I'll get to in a moment :) I ended up putting in 1-3 ml/L working my way up from 1ml to the last feed 3ml/L of the PK 13/14, the highest I had the EC was 2.8. The cheese have surprised me, they ended up being great producers.

Thanks man

igrohydro -
Thanks igro, you left us already? Hopefully not for good. Yeah I've kept my nute regime simple enough for this round, I plan to have more additives for the next grow, I was reading laylows thread and I think I'll run, Drip Clean and shooting powder for sure.

redspaghetti -
Thanks broseph, your doing some sick stuff too man. We need to get the vertical idea out there more, convert more vert kidz to our cause, that's what I want to do anyhow :)

Kroggi -
Thanks dude, yeah they are a bit pricey but worth every penny IMO, I can't remember how much these cost but I got a good deal on ebay. They take care of all the heat from the bulb if there is a big enough screen around the bulb.

Bud (.Y.) coming next post.

Thanks man, I hope you hang around for the finish :D not long now.

Good to see ya mucker, you weren't down for Obama today? LOL

Defo get it setup man, I had 'em in veg for 5 weeks from what I can remember.

Major updates coming next post, lots of bud porn :D:D

Thank you all for checking my lil grow out.

Hi all, well I've been super uber busy this month and I hadn't had time to update this thread but I'm here now so lets go...

I'm currently at, 7 weeks-ish (Day 48) The White Mustangs have been chopped and all, they came down 3 days ago and are super crystal covered, it smells DANK. It reminds me of kush, they yielded crap :( so I won't be flowering any out next run.

The cheese were worrying me at the start of this month, very weak looking and scraggly (is that a word?) but I shouldn't have guessed the future, they have put on some serious amount of weight this past month, they smell VERY sweet. I opened up the cage for them and it has helped them out a great deal.

The KarmaTrain, well this is just a beautiful plant all around, she has packed on some serious amount of weight and is glistening with trichomes, smelling as good as any of the 'elites'.

I give the plants their last feed of nutes yesterday, I just fed them today with GHE Ripen (5ml/L, turned out to be 2.0EC) and molasses at 2 teaspoons/Gal, I'll continue this for 8 days and then I'll use Plant Magic Flush agent for 6 days, and 2 days plain water, feeds are still at 3 per day.

Here are some pics so you can see where I'm at, a few pics from early flower too.

KarmaTrain, Day 29 Flower...

Cheese...

Sorry for the pic quality but I was in hurry, I'll get some good pics at their last days.

There are several things that I'm going to do differently for the next vert coco run.

Larger cage, 18" diameter should be perfect, the plants are getting plenty of light bleaching and are somewhat smothering each other to get the light with the current setup.

4 plants per unit, it would work best IMO.

4x4 growing space, its at 3.2x3.2 at the moment.

Ebb & flow trays instead of the plywood.

Bigger intake, the bigger the better.

I'm also considering tomato cages.

Foliar feeds veg & early flower.

Install an automatic feed system, I've got something in mind that might kill two birds with one stone, wait and see :D:D

Bigger waste trays.

More additives (nutes).

5 feedings during flower.

I'm sure there is more but I'm confident I'll have this setup dialled when I make them modifications.

That's all for now folks. I'll keep you updated as we approach the harvest. Any questions, shoot.

Not a bad looking run at all, HGO!! :tiphat:

Now that you have run this setup and know the tweeks that need to be made, your next round is going to be Supa Dupa!!!

You definately should be inspiring some vert Kidz with your shows, but also teaching a few Old Dogs new tricks too. :biglaugh:

Good Growing! :good:

Oh I forgot about these, here's some macros of the White Mustang. She is meant to be a chemdog BX4, VERY crystally and DANK just yields a bit on the low side :( But I'll always keep her around.
