pump size for drip system

I need to size 2 sets of pumps ...

1) coming out of a brute 30 gallon and down and back up again to the tray. The tray is maybe 2 feet off the ground...the tray is about 3 or 4 feet from the pump. I plan on running 16 plants per tray (for a dtw setup)

a) Also...what size PVC is recommended for this application..is 1" overkill?

2) recirculating setup...the travel is maybe a foot an a half above the reservoir...and needs to feed the same amount of plants. But the reservoir us right underneath the tray.

Any body running drip that can help a brother out!

I use 500gph submersible pump for my drip system
they’re like $50 bucks..
have only had one fail so far but it was almost a decade into service
