Diy greenhouse idea.

I was thinking about making a green house out of a metal framed canopy thing. I just don't know how I would put the plastic or whatever around it to make it fit securely and tightly.

Your thoughts/ideas are welcome.

?? => wood ??

the easiest way to mount them to the structure is not too wide wooden boards on the clamps. the cover can be attached to it on slats tightened with screws, it will rather stick firmly.

this greenhouse is covered with a USA made lining of cellular polypropylene / polyethylene. => "SOLEXX"

from Russia. The first structure is welded from reinforcing bars, the second is water pipes + connectors.

in the case of a cheap wooden structure, in my opinion, the easiest way is to use ready-made carpentry joints. Wood treated with anti-fungal agent, can be unplaned of any quality. Almost all sizes of joints that are available, as well as easy-to-cut perforated galvanized steel strips that are strong enough for small structures. Self-drilling torx screws with appropriately selected length + ready-made joints. In the case of mounting polycarbonate plates, you can tighten aluminum "u" profiles 1x1x0.2 cm + and insert the plates, there will be a gap to fill with a "strip": a bit of silicone for sealing and it's ready. Idea...

maybe you will find something interesting too

this, for example, is interesting in its own way

very popular in my country in gardens.In Poland people have small gardens on the outskirts of cities, sometimes even in the middle of cities in areas now wanted by developers. They often use old window frames to build small structures. those made of PVC are also suitable for this. The cheapest recycled material.

this is interesting, with a not perfectly transparent coating would be ideal for growing Af varieties. low height very simple structure.
