pothead2- Dont worry dont worry The lady pics are weekly updates Wednesday is the update day for now on, since that will mark exactly a new week on the flower cycle.

That new little MINI cab is same size as my PC.. But fuck that thing lol I like ease when im working, and that thing just made everything hard as fuck.. And I want it light proof and Air flow to go exactly how i want.

The new Mini CAB will probably be done this week sometime. For sure before Friday... It will be great Gona being using
1x 42watter
2x 23watters..

It will be strickly a mother and Veg CAB. There should be plenty of room for 2 really good mothers and atleast 2 Clones to veg and get atleast 7"-10" tall. Dont forget ill most likely be doing SOG so the 2 clones inside with those moms will only be taking up Vertical Space

I just used chicken wire fencing. It has some small holes so you can really move your buds with high accuracy when training them and getting them in perfect and final spot.

It only lets you move the around till they pretty much cant go through holes anymore. Im almost up to that point now with this lady.

Iv been looking and watching to make sure every bud will get even light till harvest day since i cant move them anymore. So it really gets you alot of bud sites as well iv noticed. I have 40+ maybe even 50+ decent bud sites.

I cant wait to see whats better though in my redesigned CAB.. my scrog or a few SOGs... going perpetual

wow military, looks like you've got a lot going on right now. grow 2/3 of the way the through, new mom box, seedlings; i'm way too disorganized to keep all that together lol. and bongasaurus is right, perpetual is the way to go, that's my main goal at the moment. i'm sick of being dependent on someone else to get pot from, not to mention paying outrageous prices for sub-par green. i'm gonna be doing a perpetual scrog setup (more like staggered) pretty soon. i'll veg in a box (1'x1'x3' CFL) for about a month or so when the screen is decently full, put that plant in the flower box (2'x1'x6' HPS). when the flower box has 2 scrogged plants in it, you can harvest every month (approx). of course i'm still in the planning stages, but i think this would be a simple way to pull a good sized harvest every time, but still have fresh pot every month.

Quick mini cab update.. Going to go buy the wood today. Should have it all measured cut and put together also..

Going to be using 1/2inch wood, probably OAK for the strength, PLywood would have to be 3/4inch thick... otherwise it wasnt hold to well, and its all spintery.

MDF (medium density fiberboard) is the way to go. solid and good sound muffling. heavy, but since you're making a small box, thats no big deal.

when using MDF,
be sure to apply 2 layers of latex (or other non-evaporating paint)
(latex is white most of the time and thus usefull reflection!

because MDF contains a Gas poisonous to plants.. and this gass wil come free at temps above 20 degrees celcius.

but when you apllied 2 layers of the above everything is ok!
my old cab was made out of MDF..

Thanks for the tips guys.. I already bought the wood though . its just finished 1/2" oak. I got 3 sheets of 2'x2', Ill be able to make both the large faces with 2 sheets plus 2 of the smaller faces with the same wood.

Then the 3rd piece of wood Ill be able to make the remaining 2 sides plus the divider in the middle, plus scraps to setup my a mini scrubber

Its snowing like made over here, So ill be plowing a lot for the next like 12 hours or so , But im making the CAB at the shop So Ill get it done on the clock

hey military what kind of venting did you have on the pc case? Also what kind of temps were you seeing with four 42watt CFLs? Do you think the pc case would be able to run with lower temps if you used smaller CFLS? like 27 watts?

frozengreen911 = Im sorry man, but just the over all PC shape and shit to work with it was hard to get it sealed so i could get good ventilation. But lowest temps I could keep it with the 1x 42watt and 2x 23watters was 86'F ..



So quick update ontop of the current update, The mini CAB is fully put together, Just all the edges need to be cleaned up and i need to drill the holes. Going to have it painted also, Black on the outside white on the inside. Going to have something different the the door also.. Its going to be a tie to shut style.. Because the wood it kidna fucked lol.


I had to use 1/2 plywood.. MEH they didnt have the 1/2oak wood.. But o well fuck it ,It looks fine its sealed. and everything will be mint

On another note, I saw this a few pages back

1 tube will have the 400watt HPS, the other tube will have the 400watt MH Conversion bulb. Im going to design it so that each of them will only be on for 6 hours a day.. which is nice because they both dont use the exact same amount of electricity so thats a little more protection on my part... So they wont even be on at the same time. Just each will take turns for the 12 hours lights on period.. one first 6 hours other last 6 hours.. Who knows maybe Ill make it so they keep changing every hour.. Never know

Firing up a bulb is the most damaging thing you can do to it (short of drop kicking it across the room) Your 6/6 idea only has them firing once a day but, an hourly switch is going to shorten the life span considerably.

If you're only going to run one 400 bulb at a time, have you thought about CMH Apologies for the broken record but, they're redder than HPS and bluer than MH. One ballast, no switching. Cooler too.

Not that it looks like you need my advice.
