I thought I might have accidently ordered regs but theres the little fem symbol on the back so all good. Seeds are really small, maybe its just the strain...Nirvana ppp great price on these

i see posts that mention seed size doesn't make much of a difference
nirvana and price match up nicely, the regular ppp seeds i got were good sized

11 weeks, almost

11 weeks, almost, few days short
but can use sage advice of fellow growers
pic out of chamber, about 2 feet tall
bud centered around main stalk, sativa look
still has a ways to go(?), trichs mostly clear/cloudy
however, getting deep in flower with a strain that doesn't usually go that long
so opinions welcome, still thinking about 2 weeks more here

^^^ thanks again meraxes, i will hold onto that thought
12 weeks, and a day
still unharvested, trich check shows much clear
one tiny bit of amber at the very top, less than a millimeter
going much longer than to be expected for PPP
still flower stretching(a little), which 'says' still maturing
side buds are bulking up, also a still maturing sign imo
and the smell, checked PPP reports, one pheno described as skunk like
that nailed it, skunk like, very strong smell, but not skunk
and the pic, the spent fan leaves getting a fluorescent pink
never seen that before, wtf is this pheno anyways?
so grow continues, might harvest top cola first
sigh, confusing plant

You are going to be very pleased with the smoke from that girl. Will check back for smoke report. Nice job, that's a good pheno for sure.

thanks gents for the positive outlooks

like the Anne Boleyn description
not sure if i'll do that, maybe, just have to watch closely

lol...well the Anne Boleyn thing just popped in there, but I'm certainly not experienced yet, only on my 5th or 6th grow right now...very humble here lol...the wife and I just watched the Tudors for the 7th time...that explains it...

trichome check showed many clear
overall appearance, says not quite yet
damn it's a long finishing pheno
i hesitate because early sativa harvests can be racy
though it's a hybrid, but some sativa traits showing strong

Oh wow that's a pretty plant! It looks to me like a different pheno than I first thought. That's the longer flowering girl with dense ass buds. How's the nose on that plant? The longest I had any go were 14 weeks.

It can be initially racy effect, but it goes away quick and turns into just being drunk.

The side view look like my chunky, but the top view looks like the lanky plant leaves... That Smoke report is going to be crazy...

thanks for thoughts on this pheno
kind of the exact opposite of my 1st PPP grow
nose is sharp pungent weed-like smell, reminds of skunk in strength but not really skunk
keeps packing on weight, trichomes are still mostly clear
that includes the trichs on the sugar leaves, which usually turn amber ahead of the bud trichs
thinking a cure will be needed, sativas are better with a cure, or so i hear

edit: and seeds, i tried to pollinate a side bud, think my pollen went bad, might do a reveg

14 weeks

14 weeks + 1 day, vape tested small side bud
on the strong side, no paranoia, clear head
going to need a cure to sort the effect out
interesting taste, seems to numb the mouth
curing may change that, african genetics trait?
think its cut time, giving it 24 hrs dark

Curious if anyone has tried a graduated light cycle on these various cultivar that run long?

Also wonder do you think the N-P was tapered in late finish?

I have a Nirvana Northern Light that [really]
Bloomed slow and long. Super slender / skinny leaves and wwaayy [wwaayy] super touchy feeder. The Grinspoon / Purple Haze / Malawi where cake to grow by comparison. Stretched like a beast. Regular seed. The catalog says both ,100% Indica & Mostly Indica. Lost 2 of 8 scrambling to smoke it down. 7 of 8 where female.

I suspect [Stoner Science / X-Files / Guess] some crazy shit going on over at the Nirvana Breeding Lab.

Just thinking out loud.

the tapered light cycle occurred to me at the end of this grow, which doesn't do much good for this run
and i have seen other reports of those sativa like phenos for the nirvana NL
stray phenos are what we get from seeds occasionally, sometimes good, sometimes not

i'll eventually do a smoke report after the cure over in that subforum
but this plant is one of the more interesting grows i've done, so a quick snapshot for the interested

Smell: it kept that strong 'weed' smell, not horrible, not great either, that's 1/2 the smell
the other half is the smell of garbage, like a trash can smell
combined into something not great smelling

Taste: a very nice sweet, aromatic flavor, complete opposite of the odor
not too sweet, among the best i've ever tasted

Effect: there is sativa in there, that's all i can say now

Yield: miserable, no more than 1/2 oz, likely less
the 1st PPP was a solid oz under same conditions

Mr Soul,
the newer NL are said to have some thai influence way back in the breeding process... I guess to give the buzz some "POP!", if that is the case there will eventually arise one or 2 per group of seeds that express those lengthy sativa genes... dunno if nirvanas is in the group that has those sativa genes but seeing how NL5 has been the standard go-to for some years, maybe even decades, its possible that this is the case...

^^^ strangely enough i may have run across that kind of pheno in a nl#5
seed was from highgrade seeds, used to be a good reputable breeder
it was another one of those plants that refused(seemingly) to ripen
the trichomes wouldn't go cloudy, some did go a clear honey color, they weren't amber but a clear yellow
gave a very powerful headrush for about 40 minutes, very sweet indica feel after
