Bagseed x NYCD X Sensi Star

The thunk x WR been sweating a couple weeks, and I packed a bowl last night.

Much to my surprise the taste and smoke was straight up frankincense.

The office smelled just like a catholic mass, lol

The buds in the jar are funky, no doubt, but damn, nice find.

I will take cuttings moving forward, glad to know the potential.

Frankincense is cool! Finding unusual terps and terp combinations is a joy of doing experimental grows like this. I'd be interested to see what the thunk x WR buds looked like.

My Medical Mass x WR F1s are both nearly ready to chop... one of them is super frosty, and both have a great smell - sweet hashy perfume. Surprised at how different they look.

Made some hashish today. there was almost 50g buds/trim in the freezer
collected during the last 18 months +/-.

Winter indoor ambient temps at the site are chilly, so making hashish
now makes sense.

A blend of the recent nycd/sensi star/ bagseed crosses, no thunk in the mix.

Maybe two or three grams yield, blonde looking product.

The three F2 03 02 x P1 02, and a F2 03 02 x P1 07 jarred today,
had to dry that yield in the cabinet for the aroma was too strong outside the box, lol.

The recent bubble extraction:

Just dried:

Ball:

I do the Cannoli method, product rolled and folded under a glass jar filled with hot water.

Then formed in hand to make a ball.

Just over 2.5g, I'll try it in a couple weeks.

The recently chopped thunk has been in the jar 60 days +. Smoked a bowl and am pleased with the product.

Meanwhile the F1 x P1 plants pose a problem as they stalled in the cold temps.

I'm wondering if they should get trimmed and veg longer or just flipped.

I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

The F2 03 02 x P1 02, and F2 03 02 x P1 07 cuttings in veg are also stalled, but only option is to
keep them in veg until I can take some cuts and flip later this month.

A thunk in veg is good, if a little small as well.

The thunk in flower is the smallest yet to show pistols at this stage.

Lots of folks been commenting on the website update, but I'm okay with it so far.

How long does your THUNK take to flower? The only other grow of that I've seen said 140 days.

I’m curious, too.

I had one go 123 days, and another go 93. So there’s definitely some variation to be found in the cross. But they were very similar in taste/effect.

Between 110-120 days, they never mature in my rig, seldom see amber.

The most recent plant was spent, chopped just as she died, lol

The yield is sublime, I have made bubble hashish, and cobs too.

On a side note, I must say that the cross with White Rhino and the thunk is superb,
cut flowering time to 90 days, and has qualities that in some ways surpass both parents.

Cheers.

All the F1 x P1 plants in veg got trimmed, faster than starting new seeds.

Took a cutting of one of them F1 x P1 plants to flip as soon as rooted.

Gnats, another set back after a shitty winter. No genetics lost, but nothing is growing in veg well enough to take cuttings.

Some of the plants in veg are loose in the pot, roots decimated.

I dosed twice with Spectracide, 15mL/gal in ten days, and still have clouds of gnats.

Two plants in flower are failing..

I boil all my medium, use filters on intakes, and poison my houseplants with root drenches regularly.

Yet gnats control my grow again, my space is in a warehouse with no windows.

Yet gnats find their way to the plants.

Likely will just pulverize/bleach/boil/trash everything, try to save the thunk, and nuke the area.

Will pop seeds after the cleanse in fresh, boiled coco, never give up, I say.

I may have to buy street weed if my stash gets used before new yield.

brrrr

Thanks zif, gotta tell you its quite a challenge growing plants in a small box.

I'll deal, likely preserve some of the F1 x P1 plants and the thunk.

The 02 and 07 were very good.

Maybe even get some small yield from the two plants in flower, one of which is a thunk, so small, lol.

If I can get some plants in flower after the purge I will be okay.

We'll see.

You can say that again. 😉 I’ve been through the wringer trying to keep my bonsai mom happy.

Having S1s of my favorite scion that she holds is a double edged sword. Let’s me slack a bit by taking some of the pressure off - but small plants show their displeasure so fast it’s risky.

A reset can be nice, though. Hope yours brings some interesting new plants!

You are right about a reset. Had one after covid hit last year, lost some gear, but allowed me to move on.

I felt internal pressure to advance my project this year, and perhaps the recent set back will prove beneficial.

Have to remember that there is time, and more seeds to pop.

Cheers!

Culled all the F1 x P1 plants, kept the thunk and 02, 07.

Will pop some thunk x WR and F1 x P1 after no new flyers.

Got to keep moving, right!

The thunk and 07 remain the only legacy plants, but we're not out of the woods yet.

I un potted the 07's and thunk, root rinse and re pot in pasteurized coco.

Wiped down the grow boxes with a bleach solution.

Took two cuttings of thunk and four cuttings of the 07, plain water rooting method.

Those water rooted cuts will take a while to confirm rooting status, fingers crossed.

Gnats are the worst!

If I lose the legacy stock I'll be disappointed, but I could just buy some replacement stock..

Looks like I lost the thunk, have two cuttings in water, we'll see,
the rooted mum plant in veg shows no new growth in days.

That mum plant has been cloned for more than ten years.

I have some S1 seeds and thunk x WR, and some thunk x SL.

There is no worst case, I can get T Haze seeds on line.

I do have the thunk in flower, reveg is an option, but also re introduce gnats to veg box, I'm conflicted.

I'll wait to see root nubs on the thunk cuttings before I commit to a re veg.

Thunk cuttings show root nubs and all is well.

Thanks Reiko for the back up plan, but will sally forth with the cuts I have.

I do wonder if you will think about popping some of those thunk seeds you hold...
