New run from seed after one year with duds.

Hi everyone, after arguing a year with dudded plants and perpetual sick mothers wich are quarantined, I'm gonna start a new run from seeds for try to get a decent crop next months, I'll put 2/3 parts of the room with seeds and the other 1/3 part will be from clones that a friend send me last months and i wasn't able to try yet.

This is what I'm popping next, as I'm not sure if what i got is a virus or the heck is going on I decide to pop all the freebies and the stuff i don't really care about, so everything is new for me and some of them i just feel curious about but really dont think its gonna be my smoke... I never thought i would pop those seeds but let's see.

So this is the room where the ladys are gonna be, I used paper tec for germination in some tapperwares and covered them till 72 hours and then started planting.

As you can see some of them were desesperate for popping out the sell.





I sowed some a little bit late, but i was so gentile and they are gonna be outside dirt in 2 days or so... I don't like to sow very long rooted beans, you have to be very carefull of not breaking the root.

Sow them in cups with House and Garden Light Mix + 15% Worm Humus + House and Garden Rhizoforce

Watered them with Roots Excelurator and a very smooth dose of Bio Vega. Ec.0,65us and P.H 6,2

This is the set up for the first 10 days for root build up.



Couple of them started to pop out 12 hours later. :yay:

I'm having problems to keep the humidity high in the tent so im gonna try to get one humidifier for the first week. I wan't veg them properly as RH is below 50 right now.

This are some pics of the girls i was harvesting last week from the last run that performed nicely, just for the impatient... Half of the crop was dudded and fucked up so, they don't look like this, this are the pretty ladies, for the ugly ones go to the infirmary...

Yesterday i took cuts from the most healthy looking moms i left alive. Gonna clean them properly, they got a little bit thrip, and Root them on plugs with some clonex gel inside a mini greenhouse.

Those are suposed to be:

PCG's Papaya
GMO SMF Cut
Sundae Driver
Rudeboi OG

Suposed because i did not tried them yet.

Hey starcrash, how you doing?

Cleaned all the clones under tap water and cutted their hair a little, then i made a Neem and phos soap bath. Last time it worked for me, anyway i will introduce predators during veg for prevention...

Gonna make some space in the tent for this babys.

I didn't know about him till i got this pack on my hand, seed heaven sent it to me, we ordered some Derg Corra seeds during first lock down and they took 4 months, but he added some extra Derg Corra packs and this one as a freebie, was looking some info last weeks when I decided to pop the Happy Amnesia and just found old threads, so i don't really know how old the seed are, all 13 seeds popped super fast so, can't say nothing bad about it except i don't think im gonna keep clones atm... :/ Curious about the Karma's Happy Brother side as well, don't really know what to expect so this run is gonna be full of surprises and pretty different strains that i don't use to smoke. So excited lol, popping seeds always makes me feel happy :yay:

So all the cuts in its place and sprayed them with some formulex, will let them breath 5 minutes a day and spraying each time again for the next 3-4 days and will start to progresively open the vent holes.

Hey folks, how are your weekend going? Some updates from today.









36 out of 40 seeds did pop out the dirt. So i decided to pop 4 more seeds... 2 Sour Grape Kush x Animal Cookies and Grapefruit x Animal Cookies from Ultra Genetics.

The ones that didn't pop were:

Double Dutch by Serious Seeds, i wanted to see this plant, i'm not so familiar growing old school dutch genetics, looked like an interesting one... It was a freebie from attitude so no worries...

Matxacacerebros from Seed Bleed, those seed were like 3/4 years old when i got them 3 years ago, so didn't expect that all of them were perfect. 1 more on its way.

Matanuska Dream from Kilo Genetics, never heard of this seedbank and i think those seeds were from an old ex house mate so who cares... 4 more on its way...

Mothers Milk , bag seed from my buds, couldn't be mature or well finished as it was an accidental pollination... 2 more on its way



Gonna let them some more days so maybe they end popping, who knows, some seeds take longer some times...

About the cuttings, they are performing so nice, I let the top part closed for 4 days spraying a couple times a day with some formulex and let them breath for 5 minutes each day, I found the plugs were a little bit dry yesterday and a couple clones were wilting.




So i did a solution with R/O Water, Ph+/Osmosis Buffer, Cal Mag, Roots Excelurator and Azos. Ph-6.1 and resoaked the plugs. Today they look super happy, this time i used presoaked plug trays, i let some space between plugs and they dried a little bit faster... Better avoid this kind of stress as it can lead to some problems in the future... Best way to avoid hermies in my experience is don't stress the plant in his entire life...



Looks like the seedlings are starting to run nicely and growing faster, so will move them to the flower room in 5 days or so, so the seedlings got space for growing tall and wide, will keep veging them for 1,5/2 weeks more and will put them on flower asap.
