Day 20 did a decent defol of MPK last night, maybe 100+ fans. 2 had fallen on their own underneath, and I think she handled it well. Very perky this morning before lights-out. Also snagged a few from under the other big girls, but I'll wait a few more days before thinning them up top.
Chem D S1 showing a little frost. Can't make out a scent just yet, the lacy phacelia is nearby making seeds and she overpowers any other smells.
Chem 91 S1 looking and smelling lovely, one of the slowest flowering so far.
Chem 91 x TK is as tall, or taller, than MPK now. I can't wait to see how she turns out.
Sowahh is also pretty slow to start flowering, but I think she'll be chunky and sugar-coated in the end.
MPK don't think she has a lot of stretch left at this point.
Sowahh male clone is doing good. I've been giving him 12 hours of darkness to coax some pollen out for this and future runs. I'll toss him after that... Funky body odor diesel skunk nose on this one, I'm digging it very much! Would pair nicely with the 91xTK based on her smells so far, I bet.

If anyone reading this thread thinks planting a crop under existing crop is a swell idea . Its not . Epic failure...
I'm starting to think plants communicate much more than I realize. The pots were all in that end of life stage and putting plants in early really screwed with there cycles almost 0 stretch . I ended up turning 1000w down to 600w because it was such a waste of light .
other note different crop I grew the most potent tastiest dosidos to date . Shut off blumats week 8 and waited for plant to die . I lost approx 20% yield there was no final swelling. But it definitely produced stronger tastier meds. Dying on the vine i believe its called.
finally running my own seeds I made jellypie + pink kush a while ago.
Its so crazy how I recognize the mom leaners and the dad ones and every combo in
between.
About to get gassy in here !!

bs0 I got dicks on one of my giesel x sowah, I plucked them as I saw them though , what's a few seeds 
Mattbho I dunno if it's true but I heard that a plant can only produce as much trichomes as what its genetically able to. So if you have 20% smaller yield with the same amount of trichome coverage, that may be why.
The same would be true in reverse, larger flower clusters make for less dense trichome coverage..

bs0 That stretch gonna make it hard to get in the room real soon I think lol. The MPK was allowed to grow straight up through the screen, so she had about a 6" head-start. 91 and Sowahh are about the same height still, 91xTK taller than all. Sorry to hear about the nanners; play with chem you might get spermed.
Mattbho Very cool re: dying on the vine. It's amazing how long they can go after water is turned off. If I have to re-veg anyone from this round, I'll probably run the auto dosi freebie I got recently while I wait. Otherwise, I might stick it outdoors guerrilla style. Awesome to be running your own beans; I know I've gotten intimately familiar with plants in the past and could distinctly see parental traits at different growth stages.

Day 25
Trimmed a bunch of skinny branches stuck below the canopy tonight on all the girls.
I'm a little worried they'll be toppling over each other soon. Maybe I should get more 4-way tees and make a trellis above the screen...?
Chem D S1 is definitely light sensitive. Most of the lower growth is green, while everything closer to the top looks pretty rough. But, she's frosty!

I think everyone has stopped stretching now. Sowahh, MPK, and 91 S1 are all about the same height, while 91xTK is a few inches taller. She's been about 20-21" from the light for the past two days now. Not too bad for a first try on a ScrOG I think...
Been clipping more skinny branches, it's the easiest way I can tell which ones won't make it to the light. These girls stretched so much, and there are so many branches relative to how I've grown in the past, that it's hard not to lose track of a branch trying to trace it back to the meristem. But I'm still surprised by a few fat branches which just seemed to give up and got hidden under everything else. Well, they get chopped, too.
Keeping temps and humidity in good ranges: 75F - 81F lights off/on, respectively. And 45-55% on the RH. That little oil-filled heater is suited well for the size and airflow of the room. Dehumidifier in flower, humidifier in veg. Getting the hang of this again.

Sowahh male dropping pollen...quarantined!
Chem D S1 I'm smelling some straight-up BO twang on her now.
MPK frosting up and pistils starting to amber a little here and there...
Sowahh chugging along smoothly, I think she's sour.
Chem 91 S1 still not giving up the frost, but I don't personally care about the leaves. Show me sugar-coated swollen bracts ftw
Chem 91 x TK my favorite so far. One thing I like is that her fans stay very small compared to the others', haven't plucked many from her at all above the screen, no need.
So excited to be back in Frost City. I'm trying really hard not to lose half of my baggage on the way out again...lol

Noticed what looked like a seed in that last picture of MPK...found this little beauty man-spreading on a branch right smack dab in the middle of her tonight.
So, I noticed one or two nanners on her last round. Just attributed them to the light leak. And Sugar Puffs (also a Mendo Purps cross) was throwing crazy nanners at the end last round, too. Maybe there's just something about my environment that the Mendo Purps genetics don't like? lol
What gets me about this tonight...I'm in there every single day scoping things out real hard (or at least I thought), top to bottom, inside and out. This had to have been developing for at least a week? How did I miss it? Kicking myself so hard right now.

I was really worried the 1st male i grew. It was in my bedroom closet , approx 10m away from my ladies . I was super careful running hepa filtration always checking on him last/ changing clothes after . I only wanted to make a few seeds /save a few dollars. I did not want a fully seeded crop, it was my smoke for the next 3 months.
that 1st male produced 0 unwanted seeds . I've done it several times since , being a lot less careful . Hepa filter went to them cubensis setup.
I've found that pollen doesn't really travel all that much indoors. I've found a few unintended seeds but nothing to complain about .
smokey have u seen the thread with the diy male isolation chambers? You could have them right beside the bed . I think I may try building one in the fall. Im hooked on making my own beans.
