The Garden Groom = A trimming machine for 3 pymts of $33 ???

P

Peat

That's GREAT news, SG! :jump:

I'm having "issues" cutting "slots" in the HC.
It's a little tedious...and raggy.

And,
the 1/2" HC seems a bit too large.
And,
the 1/4" HC seems a bit too small.

...looking at the trimpro website...

Model # : TRIM-BOX
8,6" diameter
(I assume 8,6" = 8.6")

GRATES
Grate 1: Large slots only (STANDARD) (slots 7/16")
Grate 2: Small slots only (slots 5/16")

7/16" slots = a little less than 1/2"
picture.php

5/16" slots = a little more than 1/4"

If a fella was to get one, which one???

Not that I'm giving up trying to diy a grill.
... yet...

i like the standard trimbox grate thus far, but i haven't tried another one...

:chin: I think someone mentioned earlier about trimming dry trim.

Just thought I'd mention that trimpro says,
"All our trimmers are designed to be used with freshly harvested plants."

And, the GG is designed as a live plant hedge trimmer.

Hey Peat, i'm sure the wet/dry issue isn't all that big of one....

I was just throwin' the motor speed thing out there as something else to "tweak" with....

Are the motor speeds variable on the larger comm. units ?

Anybody ? Just curious for my own sake really....:joint:

:D

Nice work Guys

We'll do it tonite!!!!! I've got a little bit of green crack ready to harvest, but i didn't take care of it, as I'm in between grow rooms...

So I'll do some trimmin tonite but you gotta promise not to make fun of little crappy nugs..I'll have some good ssh in a week to trim too, this green crack was just to get me through for a little...

In progress messing around pic to come in a minute :)

Watch out then here comes the newb!!!!!

here is the mesh attached to the screws w washers, You can see how i snipped some of the grate off the bottom half to open in up to more straight grates....so we got two grates in one...

Just to get a better look at the cutting area....

Nice!

Well, if yours runs, you got me beat!

Mine doesnt.

Musta crossed a wire???
Although, I didn't mess with the wires...

Lemme give it another look...

Crap that last pic was blurry sorry.....Yep mine works!!!!

Here you can see how close the cutting blade is to the grate....Anybody with a trimpro or similar that could take a similar measurement between the blade and top to the grate???? This might give me more idea of if I need to adjust it....

If it needs to be further away, I think simply using more washers underneath the grate could let you find adjust it easily....

Now for the mounting
I was gonna mess with a table and permanent mount it, but I'm seeing theres no need to.... a pair of sawhorses and a few bungee cords are plenty...It's "solid enough" as it is, but I'm gonna grab a few more bungees before it's debut tonight....

And bagging...the "deal" I got didn't have the awesome auger or the other freebie but it DID come with the extra volume collection bag..I shortened the area it has to travel to get to the bottom of the bag and rubber banded it to the plastic collection tube that comes with it for outboard collection.... This tube can just as easily be led into wherever you want to collect your clippings...TOO EASY!!!!

NOT BAD FOR A NOOB yeeeee hawwwww...

Gonna get high with a buddy, go get a few clamps to keep it on (will be very easy like Peat said), then prolly do some trimming

P

I'm having connection problems too.

BTW, It wont run if you don't have a catcher installed.

Problem solved.

Too bad I took it apart again before I figured that out.

Lemme get back at it

HAHA....good chit mang :headbange

Collection bag in place.....*check*

Another "safety" feature I presume....because I was thinking of trimming my nails by sticking my had in there while it was running....

Good thinking Garden Groom folks!

Nicely done guys :joint:

I've got duct tape holding the 1st trigger.
& manually operate the run trigger.
