Why do people use the blue spectrum light indoors when outdoor plants get the orange/red spectrum from the sun?

The (green, blue, violet) colors are short-wavelength colors produced from the sun, but you can't see them because of the wavelength. Red is the longest, blue the shortest wavelength. Both are very important in the light spectrum and making things grow. The Sun changes in spectrum intensity as the seasons change. Blue wavelength signals to the plant Summer and Red wavelength signals Fall. However on and around the Equator the light spectrum stays the same most of the year. This is why in "my opinion" Blue light spectrum bulbs are favorites for indoor grow. Especially growing Sativa's.

Different spectrums of light stimulate different cycles of the plant. Thats why I run with an adjustable and dimmable lights such as the iL8x. Check it out
