Kosen rufu is a noble endeavour conducted with words.
Speak out with unwavering confidence and conviction that
strikes a chord in the listener's heart!
Let's be vociferous and relentless in speaking the truth
and thereby light up these turbulent times we live in.

"I am praying that, no matter how troubled the times may become, the Lotus Sutra and the ten demon daughters will protect all of you, praying as earnestly as though to produce fire from damp wood, or to obtain water from parched ground."

"'Dewdrops accumulate to form a stream, and streams accumulate to form the great ocean. Particles of dust accumulate to form a mountain, and mountains accumulate to form Mount Sumeru. And in the same way, trifling matters accumulate to become [significant] ones.'- 'The Bodies and Minds of Ordinary Beings' (WND-1, 1133).

"As Nichiren Daishonin says, the life-giving oceans that cover our planet are created from tiny drops of water, while the majestic, awe-inspiring mountains we behold are formed from tiny particles of dust. Similarly, the surest path to accomplishing great achievements is making steady daily efforts.

"Whether anyone sees our efforts or not, we keep pressing forwards one step at a time and reaching out in dialogue to one person after another. All of our small, individual efforts added together have the power to transform the times. The unceasing advance of our grassroots movement will change history."

"When one comes to realise and see that each thing--the cherry, the plum, the peach, the damson--in its own entity, without undergoing any change, possesses the eternally endowed three bodies, then this is what is meant by the word ryo 'to include' or all-inclusive."

"What is the secret to finding true fulfillment in life? Pearl Buck (1892–1973), the American author of such acclaimed novels as The Mother and The Good Earth, wrote: 'The secret of life and content is to begin a new day with courage and with the belief that it can be made the best of all days, whatever change it brings.'[1] While lovingly caring for a daughter who was born with severe disabilities, Buck also worked for peace and human rights.

"The sun of time without beginning rises unfailingly in the hearts of all of us who chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo day after day and year after year. Even in the darkness of adversity with no end in sight, we can revitalise our lives with the light of hope through invigorating gongyo and daimoku."

"And could not this illness of your husband's be the Buddha's design, because the Vimalakirti and Nirvana sutras both teach that sick people will surely attain Buddhahood? Illness gives rise to the resolve to attain the way."

"This body of ours in the end will become nothing more than the soil of the hills and fields. Therefore, it is useless to begrudge your life, for though you may wish to, you cannot cling to it forever. Even people who live a long time rarely live beyond the age of one hundred. And all the events of a lifetime are like the dream one dreams in a brief nap."

"Some of you may have experienced setting yourself a target, but not being able to stick to it for long. I also understand this feeling well.

"But even if you only manage to stick to something for a few days, that’s fine. When you challenge something even for three days, you’ll achieve three days’ worth of growth. You should feel good about yourself for having persevered in something for three days. There’s no need to feel bad about stopping after a few days; just keep starting over again. If you repeat that pattern 10 times, that makes a whole month!

"Those who can keep refreshing their determination and trying again are most admirable. They are winners. The important thing is to continue challenging yourself with perseverance."

"(It also states that, if the minds of living beings are impure, their land is also impure, but if their minds are pure, so is their land.) There are not two lands, pure or impure in themselves. The difference lies solely in the good or evil of our minds."

"Now is the time to challenge yourselves wholeheartedly for kosen-rufu. Strive in your activities with the spirit of shouldering full responsibility for the SGI. That is the way to your own personal human revolution.

"Who are the greatest victors in life? Those in the spotlight? No. It is those who have attained spiritual victory. They are the true and eternal victors."

"All disciples and lay supporters of Nichiren should chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with the spirit of many in body but one in mind, transcending all differences among themselves to become as inseparable as fish and the water in which they swim. This spiritual bond is the basis for the universal transmission of the ultimate Law of life and death."
