Yeah I am going to leave them there, and throw a few more around. If I brought a couple in, would they slither off, and never be seen again, or maybe stick around the garden?

I have a few ladybugs that I get off trees, put them in the closet, but forgot about my no pest strip. OOooopppsss!

Well,

I went to the little outdoor patch the other day, and everything is looking great! The B-52 is female, and budding nicely, it is the more indica looking one that has two tops. The Purple power has not shown yet, and was very thirsty when I took the pic. It has not been topped, and will probably get bent down instead. The other three are JLP's Pheonix 1. They are doing O.K. but just not growing very fast at all, neither are the two that I have indoors.

Look at the growth difference in just like two weeks, gotta love that sunshine!

Pretty good growth, and just getting faster everyday!

Damn,

I must be losing my mind, I just noticed I have a plant missing!

Look at the two pictures above, the before & after ones, notice anything I missed? A purple power is gone! I had two growing, on the right side of the pic, when I was out there, never noticed it, usually they take bites off of the top branches, but have not been back since. I guess something got it the night I planted it, it was a little smaller than the one that is there now, so I guess I just overlooked it:mad: or maybe it was those damn...:abduct:

So, that means no purple powers outside, but thats OK, I have a backup plan, called closet growing, and in my closet I have two beautiful Purple Power moms about a month into flowering.

Well,

As for the rest of the outdoor grow, things are coming along, not too fast, but not too slow. I put three of JLP's Pheonix 1 Haze's out, the two biggest are showing female, the smallest not showing. I also Had two more indoors, one turned male, and the other one has not shown yet. I guess that is good, since he said they may never flower!!!

The B-52 was looking great, but now I am not too sure. I mean I have one inside and one outside, both were identical, the one inside is blowing away the one outside, I don't understand how it is getting so big on a 150hps and so small under the sun. Well, you decide for yourself, here is the B-52 that is outside, the indoor one I will post up when I get a pic of it.

Cucumber?

Sounds wierd, I will give it a shot. I think mice love anything!
I always used peanut butter, with cheese sprinkles on top.

I think the reason that your plants outdoors are slower is because they get less water maybe? Just a thought...

Joemutt1978,
I like the tour of the grow room, btw were I live there are tons of snakes like that and although unlike Texas Kid, I have not barbecued any, but I’ve been a snake hunter for years and yes I have eat many of them.

IO,

You could be right, they started off super, way faster than indoors, and it rained once a week, now they are slowing down, and the Purple power is gone, it sucked up most of the water because it was always wilting, but the B-52 never wilted. Maybe one of Gypsy's Gro-bots would do the trick.

Big Toke,

Thanks it's nothing super, but keeps me from having to support drug dealers. I am probably going to kill one next time (a snake not a drug dealer)and eat it, I don't know why but it seems manly, and something interesting I have never done. I have skinned and cooked squirrels, rabbits, all types of birds, but never a snake, are they easy to skin? Can I just throw it on the grill? All my buddies are going to be jealous when I have a big old king snake on the grill next to their hamburger patties!

Snake time, come and get it!! Ya dude I think I have just about skinned cleaned and eat every thing my little area has to offer, squirrels, rabbits, birds, cat fish, deer, possum, turtles, and yes even snakes…ect. Here’s the way I do it, chop the head off, roll the snake over “belly side up,” take one of those razor blades that you’ve been using to take cuttings with and run it all the way down that snakes belly to the tail, remove guts, “they stink pretty bad!!” Lay the skinned snake on a wooden chopping block and use a butchers knife and chop into 2” pieces, roll in flower I like to add some Louisianan spices and pan fry or deep fry…..what you will have is tender whit flaky pieces of prime meet, have fun and good luck.

Just updating everyone,

It looks like the purple powers have just about finished their stretch, and boy did they stretch! The B-52 had hardly any stretch, and is packing on the weight.

Here is my B-52 on the left and two Purple Powers,

They are all about the same height, which is hard to do with a sativa and an indica, but somehow I got an even canopy.

Here is the mother Purple Power that I have pollenated with a very vigorous LSD, I guess I am going to call it "Purple LSD" anyone got any better ideas?

I have never intentionally made seeds before so this is kind of exciting. I could have used the B-52 or either of the Purple Powers, I chose The Purple Power that looked the best, it was a little greener, and looked to have more budsites, and just looked a little more healthier. In this next pic, you can see the one I used is on the right.

I use chicken wire alot in my grows that are over 40% sativa. When they first go into flowering, they are bent over and covered in chicken wire. I can manipulate the canopy by moving the branches to grow up through the holes. I like the idea of a SCROG but don't like the fact that you can't move your plants. Well, I came up with this little idea, they each get their own screen.

My B-52 is looking nice, it has alot of budsites, and alot of hairs. It did not need chicken wire, there was little stretch, but will probably only need to be staked.

See what a difference there is between this one and the outdoor one!

By the way,

Here is the branch I pollenated with, I had alot more but they were in a ziploc and mildewed. This little branch was in an envelope which had a good amount of pollen in the bottom. Hopefully the pollen is viable and they take. Who knows how long it takes to start seeing seed pods?

I can't forget about my little Pheonix1, thanks JLP!

It is having a hard time, there were two in that pot, but one showed male, this little one put out a few hairs about a week later. I guess I am lucky to have gotten them to flower, now JLP says it is time to wait along time. I also have the two outside that are small too, but both are females!

Outdoor Plant

Outdoor Plant

Is going to require more water and more fertilizer, especially when you first put it outdoor. It's not used to getting that type of light and having all needs met! It will also take a while to put down roots. I water moderately near the stock and more heavily surrounding it to encourage the roots to branch out a bit.

Yes I guess it doesn't get the TLC it deserves,

Watering is a pain, because they are so far out in the woods, when I planted, It had been raining everyday forever, now since I planted them it has only rained once in like a month and a half, Hurricane Ivan didn't even give us any rain, well maybe like an inch.

Visiting Amsterdam is a lifechanging experience, kind of like when I visited New Orleans for the first time. Well, so I was a little lost, looking for seeds direct, I stumbled across Flying Dutchmen. ... I said that I was apolagetic for asking this but "can you tell me where seeds direct is"? The woman, delightfully helped me on how to get there, and even gave me a map, the guy on the other hand, who was probably angry I am asking where his competitors store is, said, "Just look for the shop with the bloody expensive car parked out in front of it!!!!" Oh lord, I knew who he was talking about, too bad gypsy wasn't there though.

...i know it's going back a bit but i've just come across this thread... think what you may have encountered is the amsterdam 'sense of humour'! it's a fairly small town & the weed industry is close-knit, sometimes cosy & sometimes chaotic...
what do i mean by 'sense of humour'? Literal translation of a dutch joke:
Q. What has two legs & bleeds insanely?

A: Half a dog.
