Apricot Kush 2021

HIGH Every body! 😀

Welcome to my personal Legal Medicinal Garden! 😃

Featuring Apricot Kush from Weathered Islands Craft Cannabis. These seeds were purchased "legally" through the province store.

I have never tried or even heard of this strain prior to purchasing these seeds. Apparently the Apricot Kush is a loosely defined"kush", and the seeds were labelled as "Hybrid", so I am going to assume an Indica dominant hybrid. I do not expect this smoke to taste of Apricot but I am hoping for some sort of kushy-fruit flavor from it any kind of fruit really.

The seeds are regular seeds (not feminized) so I do expect a few males, out of 6 seeds started I got 6/6 (100%) germination rate.

The plants are around 3 weeks old from sprouting and will be going outside in approx. 1-2 weeks. These seeds are apparently outdoor seeds as in they have been bred outdoors in B.C. Canada to be seasoned for the Canadian outdoor growing season. It is labelled early-finishing.

Please follow along and feel free to ask me any questions or make any suggestions!!! ❓

Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures! 😎

you will probably need 5 girls names.

If you haven't stolen any leaves from the front plant on the far right, I guess this one will be a boy.

the time is of course very early to think about a qualified gender determination, but so far each of my kush hybrids which had fewer and smaller leaves were male afterwards.

wish you a nice grow.

I know the apricot kush cut is very popular these days outdoors in BC.
Haven't grown it myself but have been told it's ready mid to third week of September.

if the kush part is dominant, it should work out fine.
I haven't grown this variety myself, haven't even heard about it, but kush as the dominant parent part, regardless of the strain, is quickly finished outside.

Thank you all for the replies! 😀

Thank you Growenhaft for best wishes! The girls appreciate it! 🙌

Good eye on the male prediction, I was thinking the same thing it looks a little spindly. I have not plucked any leaves off the plant. When it gets planted that plant will go somewhere towards the middle so that if it needs to get cut down it will leave a big space in between the females, so they have less chance of getting cramped. I am hoping for at least 5 females, fingers crossed 🤞🤞, stay tuned for updates!

I hope to put them outside within the next week, so please stay tuned, this will soon officially become an outdoor grow and I expect these plants are going to take off under the natural sun! 😎🌻

High all, sorry for the delay in updates, the plants were planted in the ground just over 1 week ago. Didn't want to post auseless update ;)

Sorry for the delay, big part of this delay was because I found that someone else actually decided to steal my idea and STEAL MY SPOT a guerilla grow spot that I cleared about 10 years ago, and had 1 successful crop there. The next year I got my crop robbed in that spot. To make a long story short, I had not used the spot in at least 10 years and I am guessing the same person who chose to use this spot for their plants is the same person who ripped me off. I know you are thinking "what if it is just a coincidence?" and please tell you I am hoping the exact same thing, LOL, but the weird thing is the rarity of this spot I swear there are no trails leading into it and I never actually revealed this spot to ANYONE. So yeah I went out to prepare the spot and I found SOMEONE ELSES PLANTS THERE, apparently they liked my spot, LOL, please SHOUT OUT if anyone else has had this happen to them, I admit it feels weird as f*ck they stole my plants and now they stole my spot! LOL

Anyways to make a long story short the plants have been planted into the ground in a different spot (dammit! LOL!) for literately just over 1 week now and the plants have probably doubled in size since the transplant.

In the new spot I came about 5 feet away from walking into a skunk, and on my first week of watering I was scared the sh!t out of by a deer that was walking no more than 10 feet away from the plants. The deer it is kind of scary when you hear them coming through the dense bush it sounds almost like either a coyote or a human, they make a lot of noise but I was glad to see it was just a deer! I HIGHLY encourage guerilla growing for this wildlife viewing experience!

One of the plants have been chewed on by a little cocksucker that I later identified as a "Four-lined Plant Bug". You will see the cocksucker I caught on the plants in one of the pics. I will hit all the plants with a Neem Oil spray within the next week, I was hoping not to have to do this but fortunately it is still very early and it only seems to be affecting one plant in particular.

Please let me know if anyone else has had this happen to them, had their custom guerilla grow spot stolen!

Enjoy the pictures, Also as always please let me know if you have any questions/suggestions/comments/criticism/whatever!

another quick update, after last visit 1 male and 1 female were identified. the male was chopped down (r.i.p).

i forgot to bring out the insecticidal soap and the one plant is still being plagued by the "Four-lined plant bugs" even worse than before. no idea why they are only targetting only this one plant, maybe it is a male? next visit i will spray the plant down with an insecticidal soap + neem oil mixture.

all of the other plants i am presuming are females, since they are showing very early signs of what look like small calyxes, it's hard to tell at this point because they don't have pistils emerging, but they look more like calyxes than balls.

i am going to start feeding the plants a little heavier, i ammended the soil with Hen Manure (5-3-2), Rock Phosphate (0-9-0), and "MYKE" Vegetable and Herb Mycorrhizae when these plants were planted in the ground. for liquid feeding i am using the partly "organic" General Organics "BioThrive" Grow formula, combined with the General Organics "CaMg+", the General Organics "Bio-Root", and the General Organics "Bio-Weed" liquid seaweed supplement. pH of 5.8 and EC of 1.1.

other liquid supplements i am using are the Grotek "Pro-Silicate" Silica supplement, the Nutri+ BLACK Humic Acid supplement, and the Nutri+ GOLD Fulvic Acid supplement.
